Splinterland's: Fighting in the Wild is a tough fight, but yielded surprising results.
If you are following my previous blogs, then you have always noticed that I have always favored taking part in the Modern league. Before the launch of the Conclave Arcana, I was having max max-level CHAOS deck and a negligible amount of rebellion cards. It was very clear to me that if CHAOS rotated out of the modern, then I really do not have any fire power to continue in the Modern. I have 3 options now if I want to continue playing , that move to the Wild, move to the Survival, or build my Conclave Arcana/Rebellion card sets to continue to Modern. Instead of choosing the Wild, I decided to build my Conclave Arcana card set, so that I can remain in the Modern format.
But, it still requires some time to build my Conclave Aracans set and Splinterland's team waved off the current season pass to play on Wild Format, so the current season is now my testing ground for my CHAOS deck in Wild and believe me it is really tough fight for me to reach Diamond 2 league in the Wild.
I am sharing below screenshot to highlight that how much time I was just 20 points close to Diamond 2, but then I lost matches to drift away from Diamond 2, I oscillated so much close to Diamond 2, without getting into Diamond 2, which became really frustrating.

If you see the above screenshot, at one time I surrendered at 3080 ranking points. To be honest it was bad luck as system itself get blanked out when I am trying to pick up my phone. Once the screen comes into view, I hurriedly created my team, but it still went to "surrender" as key chain wanted password to submit the team. (Because browser also closed.)
But like a warrior, I did not accept defeat and finally I got my win that pushed me to the Diamond 2 league.
Since I won the battle and unlocked the Diamond 2 rewards chest,so it is time to cherish the Diamond 2 rewards chest.
So I got 11 minor chests, 8 Major chests, and 2 ultimate chests. Without adding any ado, let me share the result of the chest openings.
Pulling 5 rare cards is the highlight of the chest opening but after chest opening, it crossed on my mind that how good I am playing in the wild league if compared with my fellow players?
Below screenshot gave me the answer that I was looking for.
At Number 37, in the Gold League, it is relatively a good performance in my opinion. Since I am playing in top 50, so getting tough fight for every battle is actually expected. Though I am not sure how the season will end for me but I still consider it as a good achievement as being to 50 player at a point in time.
My 2 Cents/Observation.
If I compare my relative performance with all players, I can say that I am doing fine in the Wild league. So question arises, will I continue in the Wild League? I guess I am still not willing to play in wild league due to below reasons. I am little surprised that I am able to reach in Leaderboards in the Wild League.
1. SPS payment for the win is low.
I used to get approx. 4-6 SPS per win on Modern battle, and in Wild battles, I am getting only 1 -2 SPS per battle won. I would like to get more SPS per win. I guess, even with a silver level deck in modern, I might be able to match Gold level Wild League SPS earnings.
2. Need to play against Bot.
Playing against the bot will be going to be challenging if I advance more in rank in Wild Format. Since Modern format does not allow bot, I will go for playing against human players.
3. Overwhelming number of cards to choose.
Since, Wild allows all cards to be played, so one gets so many choices to make a final decision. Sometime I find me too confused or repeatedly changing team formation. Actually, I guess, I also forgot the name and usability of the cards after seeing them back in after so many years.
4. Purchasing New packs helps the team and ecosystem.
I feel purchasing the new packs will help the team, and it will help in enhancing the game further. So let's explore new features of the game that will build the cycle for further enhancement.
