I got through to Bronze III in Survival mode but at a heavy cost. I was down as much as 80 cards about three days ago, the start of the newest season. Some of the cards are passed its cooldown so I can use them but learning now how difficult it is not having the cards to play in battles I am hesitant to play too much in Survival mode.
I was out of my favorite summoner Arlic Stormbringer. On top of that multiple magic water cards were in cooldown after I had some struggles in Survival. The struggles remind me when I first started in modern league and where I could not get through bronze battles due to level capped on cards. It is somewhat the same in Survival and having lost so many battles before I broke into Bronze III, I will have to wait another couple of days before I am back in full force and try again.
I am surprised that I currently rank 166 in Survival. I am guessing this is because not many participants in this mode and even so there are not many winning.
In terms of earnings I am getting a meager 0.1 SPS per each win. This is below Bronze III and at that ranking I am earning closer to 0.9 SPS. Nothing earth shattering but a lot to do with my lower rank play. I hope once my cards come off of cooldown I can continue moving up in the ranks to yield more SPS per win. This was my whole intent of partaking in Survival mode. The dream of earning a ton of SPS per each win.
Meanwhile at the start of this new season I went on a reward cards buying spree and purchased 100 rares and 400 commons. I finally hit a couple of max level reward cards.
I believe in a couple more seasons of reward cards purchases I will manage to get most of my rares max level. I already starting getting duplicates beyond max level cards so will have extras in the future to sell.
My common rewards are making good progress too. All of the cards are at least level 8 and I actually have a couple almost to level 10! Looking ahead I plan to continue building up the commons in conjunction with rares.
Overall I am upgrading my cards while also playing through the new Survival mode. I am looking forward to partake more in the land expansion 1.75. The whole Splinterlands ecosystem seems to be getting the right attention now.
