What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!
I hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful day with your family and friends and also enjoying this amazing game in meanwhile. Well, Splinterlands has become one of the top games in the whole web3 and crypto world with thousands of players and collectors or investors and growing day by day while winning hearts globally. With their newly launched Rebellion edition cards, they also introduced many new changes into the game which certainly changed the game’s dynamics to a whole new level and no doubt that most of the players are loving all these new changes including me. If you ask me, I really liked the 2 level interactions in the game while using those new Rebellion 5 mana summoners where not just forming a lineup but you had to actively choose their powers as well and this move by the team certainly increased the interaction in the game further and made it more enjoyable for players. Not only that, they also introduced 4 new abilities and a new card airdrop mechanism (soon to be launched) and of course almost 100 new cards in the game, which increased the no of possible ways to make a lineup. I am really enjoying playing with these new cards on my scholar accounts and also started buying them one by one in my own account.
Till now, I have only been able to purchase a handful of Rebellion cards in my account because right now, there are not many Rebellion cards available in the cards market due to high demand and low supply. But however, I managed to get myself 2 max level cards and today, when I was roaming around the market in search of good deals on high-level cards, I found a good deal on a max-level Earth card and decided to buy it immediately and in today’s post, I will be talking about this particular card in deep. So without further ado, let us start!
BLACKMOOR TRICKSTER
As you have already seen in the thumbnail, today we will be discussing about the monster card called Blackmoor Trickster. This is a monster card that belongs to the Earth element and it costs only 3 mana to be used in battles. So you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing in small to medium mana limit matches and also the ones with the Little Leagues ruleset. This monster is a common edition card that needs a total of 400 BCX cards to be upgraded to max level and this card’s attack type is ranged.
I was lucky enough to find a good deal on this monster as today when I was looking for good deals on Rebel cards, I found a max level (level 10, 400 BCX) of this card listed in the market for only 33.39$ so without wasting any mode time, I immediately filled my splinterlands credit wallet with enough balance and bought this card using monstermarket.io website. As I have shared in my previous posts that I am not currently okaying with my own account due to lacking rebel cards, so I chose to list this card for rent and start earning passively from my newly bought digital asset.
As for the card stats and abilities, I think the unique selling point of this card is its large health bar with close range ability, as it can be used for both defence and as a front attacker. Now, let us look league wise stats and abilities of this card at below to get a clear view of how useful this card is in different leagues.
Bronze
At level 3, this card possesses 1 ranged attack at 3 speed with 5 health along with the Close Range ability that it gets from its initial level. With the close range ability, this card can attack from the first position even thou it is a ranged attack card. Because of the Close range ability, now we can use this card right at the front position as a frontal defence or place it before our vulnerable cards so that they get to stay alive for longer and do their job.
Silver
When we upgrade this card to level 5, this monster card gets 1 ranged attack at 3 speed with 6 health and also gets a new ability Snare. Now I really loved this snare ability because it is very useful against flying cards. Sometimes flying cards can become a rain pain to kill down, because they easily evade melee and range attacks from non flying cards. But Snare ability gives this card a 100% chance to hit whenever targeting a monster with flying ability and not only that, after attacking it also takes away the flying ability from tat monster, which means now that card will be a non flying vulnerable and cant dodge attacks like before.
Gold
When this card gets further upgraded to level 8, this card’s stats get increased to 1 ranged attack at 4 speed with 8 health but it does not get any new abilities at this level. However, getting a large 8 health pack in the Gold league gives you an upper hand in defensive matches. You can easily use this card as your frontal defence and also able to attack because it already has the close range ability.
Diamond / Champion
When we upgrade this card up to its final level 10, it possesses 2 ranged attack at 4 speed with 8 health, but no new abilities even when it becomes a max level card. However, it increases its attack power from 1 to 2 from level 9 onwards so getting a decent attack power at only 3 mana cost always helps.
My Thoughts
Right now my plan for splinterlands is to buy cards from Water and Earth elements and this is my third max level Rebel card that I added into my collection. I really like this card because of its usefulness in small mana limit matches and I will use this card to anywhere of the first 3 or 4 position depending upon the situation to increase my defence and also to protect my rear cards. I will also try to use it in matches with Earthquake rulesets or whenever I get the feeling that ai my opponent may be using multiple flying monsters against me.
As for my purchase, as usual, I used my favourite marketplace monstermarket.io to purchase the card after loading my credit wallet with enough balance because using this 3rd party marketplace to buy cards gives 3% cash-back in the form of DEC instantly in our Hive-Engine wallet. It cost me 33,393 credits in order to buy this particular card and for making the purchase through the website, I got rewarded with 862.218 DEC which got credited to my HE wallet within a minute.
I hope you liked reading my splinterlands post and also loved this particular monster that I talked about at above. Do you also own or plan to buy this monster soon or you prefer other monsters over this one? Let me know in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
