Happy Sunday, esteemed Splinterlands and Hivers community! EoS has arrived, and it was time for me to fully return to the Modern format, as I had invested a good portion of my time in improving my Foundations Archons and upgrading my workers on the plot I bought at the end of last year. Progress has been quite an uphill battle, not so much due to a lack of good cards, but because of the Rebellion Archons I have to face. They are a truly tremendous obstacle if you're starting in Bronze; a legendary Rebellion Archon is enough to cause you problems. Undoubtedly, the legacy of this card set will live on in infamy. But now that my Foundations Archons are almost maxed out and I've bought Conclave packs, some epic Conclaves on the market, plus my first rewards, I've managed to reach Silver League III before the end of the season in Modern, although for all intents and purposes, EoS appears to me in the format where I've gone the furthest, which has been Frontiers, but I've already talked a lot about Frontiers, I have important achievements but I'll leave that for another time.

Ha llegado el EoS y ha sido el momento que decidí retomar plenamente el formato moderno ya que había invertido buena parte de mi tiempo en mejorar mis arcontes Foundations y mejorar mis trabajadores en la parcela que compré a finales del año pasado. El progreso ha sido bastante cuesta arriba no tanto por falta de buenas cartas, sino por los arcontes Rebellion que me toca enfrentar, son realmente un obstáculo tremendo si estas empezando en bronce, basta con que el arconte Rebellion sea legendario para darte problemas, sin duda que la impronta que dejó esta edición de cartas vivirá en la infamia. Pero ahora que mis arcontes Foundations están casi al máximo y he comprado packs conclave, algunas conclave épicas en el mercado, sumado a mis primeras rewards he logrado alcanzar la liga de plata III antes del final de temporada en moderno, aunque para los efectos el EoS me aparece en el formato donde he llegado más lejos que ha sido Frontiers, pero de Frontiers ya he hablado bastante, tengo importantes logros pero eso lo dejaré para otro momento.
This time, I want to focus my achievements on the Modern format. As I mentioned before, I've bought a few epic cards that have greatly helped me progress in the game and climb out of the Bronze II hole. In fact, one of my last post was a review highlighting the potential of two epic combo attack cards: Molten Elemental and Warwall Juggernaut. They were the pieces I needed to improve my strategies and increase my win rate. In the end I got a total of 30K in glints which we will use to buy reward cards.
En esta ocasión quiero enfocar mis logros en el formato moderno, como dije anteriormente he comprado unas cuantas épicas que me han ayudado mucho en el progreso del juego y salir del hueco que ha sido bronce II, de hecho una de mis últimas publicaciones fue una reseña destacando el potencial de 2 cartas épicas de ataques combinados: Molten Elemental & Warwall Juggernout. Eran las piezas que necesitaba para mejorar mis estrategias y aumentar mi tasa de victorias. Al final conseguí un total de 30K en glints que usaremos para comprar cartas de recompensas.
Buying some Seasonal Skins!/Comprando algunas Skins de Temporada!
I want to start with one of the new features in Splinterlands that I think has been a great success: the inclusion of skins and other decorative items as cosmetics for our avatars. But in this case, the Valentine's Day seasonal skins caught my eye. And yes, I know that in previous posts I promised not to give in to the temptation to buy more skins since I had stopped buying a good number of reward cards because I was spending my glints on these skins. But luckily for me, they've added the option to buy them with Decs, so I bought some for myself and others to give as gifts.
Quiero empezar primero con uno de los elementos nuevos en Splinterlands que considero ha sido un gran acierto, la inclusión de skins y demás elementos decorativos como cosméticos para nuestros avatares. Pero en este caso, me llamó la atención las skins de temporada de San Valentin. Y si, ya se que en publicaciones anteriores había prometido no caer en la tentación de comprar más skins ya que había dejado de comprar una buena cantidad de Cartas de recompensas por estar gastando mis glints en estas skins. Pero para mi fortuna, se ha añadido la opción de poder comprarlas con Decs, asi que compra algunas para mi y otras para darlas de regalo.
I had enough Decs accumulated from renting my cards, so I had no problem buying the common skins and the 2 rare ones. Of these, I only kept Buttercup Mauler and Kaylia Silverleaf because their designs seemed impeccable and very well done to me.
Tenía suficientes Decs acumulados por el alquiler de mis cartas, por lo que no tuve problemas para comprar las skin común y las 2 raras, de ellas solo conservé a Buttercup Mauler y Kaylia Silverleaf pues sus diseños me parecieron impecables y muy bien trabajados.

I also bought the rare Runic Skychonk skin. This Ulundin, along with the ogres, is one of my favorite races, mainly because of the great benefit they receive from their Archon lineage. But in this case, I wanted to gift this skin to the lovely @rosmiapure 😘, who was kind enough to give me an NFT first, and since I know she likes Splinterland's artwork as much as I do, I decided to give her this Arcane Conclave skin.
También compré la skin rara de Runic Skychonk este Ulundin junto a los ogros son de mis razas favoritas, principalmente por el gran beneficio que reciben de sus arcontes de linaje. Pero en este caso quise obsequiarle este skin a la bella @rosmiapure 😘 que tuvo el gesto de obsequiarme primero un NFT y como se que le gustan los diseños de arte de Splinterlñands tanto como a mi, decidí regalarle esta skin de Conclave Arcana.

The last skin I bought was Lucky Longshot, one of the epic Death class cards, and it's catching my eye because of its Weapons Training ability! I might end up buying it to share its damage with units that don't have any attack. I didn't buy any more skins because I had already spent all the Decs I had and I wasn't keen on buying the legendaries, which, although they had a very good design, I probably wouldn't buy in the long or medium term. I'm still saving up to buy the Gotem promo card of the dragon class, which is around $20, and I want to have it to put the Thanksgiving skin on it.
La última skin que compre la de Lucky Longshot, una de las cartas épicas de la clase muerte y me esta llamando la atención por su habilidad weapons training! Es posible que la termine comprando para compartir su daño con unidades que no tengan ataque de ningún tipo. No compré más skins porque ya había gastado todos los Decs que tenía y no me entusiasmaba comprar los legendarios, que aunque tenían un muy buen diseño era muy probable que no comprara estas cartas en el largo y mediano plazo, aún estoy reuniendo para comprarme la carta promocional Gotem de la clase dragón que esta en los 20$ y quiero tenerla para colocarle el skin del día de acción de gracias.

Okay, now let's talk about our progress in Modern. I think the last time I made a massive purchase of these cards was right after they came out, and that was several weeks ago. I abandoned Modern and just focused on maxing out my Archons and epic and legendary monsters from Foundations. This is why it's been so hard for me to climb from Bronze III to Silver III! This season, I managed to gather 30,000 glints with great effort, as I'm not renting SPs to increase the number of rewards I receive. However, with 30,000 glints, it's possible to buy 100 of these cards. I also activated alchemy potions to increase the chances of getting a common gold card. In the end, this was the drop I got after revealing 100 common reward cards.
Ok ahora si vamos con nuestro progreso en modern, creo que la última vez que hice una compra masiva de estas cartas fue apenas salieron y de eso hace ya bastantes semanas atrás, abandoné moderno y simplemente me dediqué a maxear mis arcontes y monstruos épicos y legendarios de Foundations. Esta es la razón por la que me ha costado tanto subir de liga de bronce III hasta plata III! En esta temporada pude reunir con gran esfuerzo 30K de glints ya que no estoy alquilando Sps para mejorar la cantidad de recompensas que recibo, sin embargo con 30K de glints es posible comprar 100 de estas cartas, además activé las pociones de alquimia para aumentar las posibilidades de una dorada común. Al final este fue el drop que obtuve tras revelar 100 cartas de recompensa comunes.

I should also include the rewards I got for reaching Silver League III, since that was the only time I obtained a couple of rare cards, which also helped me complete the requirements for the next level. Speaking of which, let's now see which cards we managed to upgrade.
También debo incluír las recompensas que obtuve al llegar a la liga de plata III ya que aquí fue la única vez que obtuve un par de cartas raras que además me ayudaron a completar para el siguiente nivel. Y hablando de eso, ahora veremos cuales cartas logramos upgradear.
Card Upgrades/Upgrading de Cartas
Let's start with the only two rare cards I got from reward chests. The first is Dragonfang Lancer, a Dragon class card. It doesn't develop any new abilities, but what is important is that it improves its damage range, and for a card with Opportunity, it definitely becomes very valuable. Then we have the most important one: Gravebrand Warlock. This card already has quite high damage from level 1, but its weakness was speed. I usually used it in battles with reversed speed, but now that it learns the ability that adds +1 speed to the entire party, it makes the Death class my second favorite Splinter.
Comencemos por las 2 únicas cartas raras que obtuve en los cofres de recompensas, el primero es Dragonfang Lancer de la clase dragón, no desarrolla ninguna nueva habilidad pero lo que si es importante es que mejora su daño rango y para ser una carta con opportunity, sin duda que se vuelve muy valiosa. Luego tenemos la más importante: Gravebrand Warlock. Esta carta ya desde el nivel 1 tiene un daño bastante alto, pero su lastre era la velocidad, normalmente la usaba en batallas con velocidad invertida pero ahora que aprende la habilidad que suma +1 de velocidad a todo el grupo hace que la clase muerte se convierta en mi segundo splinter favorito.

Now, regarding common cards, since almost all of my common cards are level 1-2, I was obviously going to be able to upgrade most of them to level 3. But let's see which of these upgraded common cards have abilities or stats that make a difference.

One of the most valuable, and one I consider key to advancing in the silver league, is Stonebind Matron. This card stands out not so much for its magic damage and the Opportunity ability, but because at level 5 it learns the Triage ability, meaning it can heal your teammates in the second slot. I counted the exact number of cards I had obtained, and it was 14. Then I saw that on the card market, its price was extremely cheap: $0.022.
Una de las más valiosas y que considero la clave para avanzar en la liga de plata es Stonebind Matron. Esta carta destaca no tanto por su daño mágico y la habilidad oportunity, sino porque en el nivel 5 aprende la habilidad triage, es decir que puede sanar a tus compañeros en la segunda posición. Conté la cantidad de cartas exactas que había obtenido y fueron 14, luego vi que en el mercado de cartas su precio era en extremo económico 0.022$.
I decided to do two things: first, I unlocked those 14 cards I had obtained with cheap common scrolls, and then I bought the 46 unlocked copies on the market and fused them to get this level 5 card with the Triage ability that we're so interested in. One of the things I noticed in my battles between the bronze and silver leagues is that healing units are a huge obstacle in this new modern meta, so having a healer to support the second position definitely makes a difference.

The other cards gaining new abilities are Surgeblade, which reveals invisible units with the Reveal ability. Interesting; I wonder how effective it will be against a legendary archon like Lily. The other is Bone Gripewhip, which now at level 3 reduces enemy defenses by 2. This isn't the only useful ability of this card; it also increases the party's speed at level 5, so I'll have it on my list of cards to improve the speed of my fire and death splinter.
Las otras cartas que adquieren nuevas habilidades son Surgeblade que descubre las unidades invisible con la habilidad Reveal, interesante me preguntó cuan efectiva será frente a un arconte legendario como Lily. La otra es Bone Gripewhip que ahora en nivel 3 resta -2 a las defensas enemigas, esta no es la única habilidad útil de esta carta, también aumenta la velocidad del grupo en nivel 5 porque la tendré en mi lista de pendientes para mejorar la velocidad de mi splinter de fuego y muerte.

Finally, we have Ironwing Juggernaut. This neutral card now gains the Charge ability, which allows it to attack the enemy vanguard from any position. The only downside is having to deal with the handicap of the Weary ability. But being a low mana card, it can be very useful for covering the rear.
Por último tenemos a Ironwing Juggernaut, esta carta neutra ahora gana la habilidad charge que le permite atacar la vanguardia enemiga desde cualquier posición, lo único malo es tener que lidiar con el handicap de la habilidad weary. This week we also finished the most recent Guild Brawls. I had forgotten to open my usual couple of cases since I was taking advantage of the last few days of the season. We're already over 480K merits, so for now we'll continue accumulating betas and merits while I find the time to open the 200 cases I have ready.

We didn't get any legendary or epic cards, but we did get a large number of rare cards and a golden common card—in fact, my favorite fire-class card: Chimney Wallstop. It's been a while since I've seen so many rare cards in a single case! So let's see how our collection of rare gladiator cards is doing.
No conseguimos cartas legendarias o épicas, pero si una gran cantidad de cartas raras y una carta común dorada, de hecho mi favorita de la clase fuego: Chimney Wallstop. Tenía tiempo que no veía tantas cartas raras en 1 solo case! veamos entonces como esta nuestra colección de cartas gladiadoras raras.
Here's an update on my rare gladiator cards. Some, like Orella Abaddon and Cutter Breze, are still at level 5 but getting closer to level 6. The real goal is to get these cards to level 7, because at that level they can actually be used in the Gold League, which is where I mainly play, as long as I use epic archons. The closest to that goal are Liza Fox and Palidon Rakk, which I'm just three copies away from reaching level 7. I only need another couple of cases with two or three rare cards to achieve this goal. We'll see if luck is on our side in the coming weeks.
Aquí te muestro el estado de mis gladiadoras raras, hay algunas pendientes como Orella Abbadon y Cutter Breze que aún están en nivel 5 pero cada vez más cerca del nivel 6. La meta real el objetivo de estas cartas es llevarlas a nivel 7, porque en ese nivel pueden efectivamente ser usadas en la liga de oro que es donde juego principalmente, siempre y cuando use arcontes épicos. Las más cerca de ese objetivo es Liza Fox y Palidon Rakk que estoy a 3 copias de conseguir el nivel 7, solo necesito otro par de cases con 2 o 3 cartas raras para lograr esta meta, ya veremos si la suerte nos sonríe para las próximas semanas.
Bien amigos este fue mi balance de final de temporada, espero mejorar ampliamente mis números para el próximo cierre. De hecho quiero tratar de alcanzar los más de 100K de Glints con mis propios sps bloqueados. Por lo pronto pondré a prueba mi más reciente carta desbloqueada nivel 5 y otros sanadores no convencionales como Arachne Weaver, incluso es posible que les dedique una publicación particular.
