This was a type of spider I have never seen before, or perhaps just never seen up close like this. It was tricky to capture; first I tried with flash, which did a decent job making everything sharp but seemed to have harsher shadows and less artistic flair, so next I went without flash and just tried to follow the spider. It made for a very shallow depth of field, but I was pleased to get a few shots that, if you look close, showed the eyes of this tiny spider.
