Can you spot the insect on the photo below?
it is ok if it is a little bit hard to find it among the green color of the plant, because I was also getting the same problem when photographing this insect, and then also getting a little bit of hardtime getting the name of this species when I want to make this post.
Here is another photo of the same species but different individual within the close perimeter.
This time I took a lot of caution when I try to get the photos of the insect, because it was quite skittish, and because of its small size, it would just fly away very easily. They are very agile.
Apparently, they are a species from Heteraspis. Heteraspis (formerly Scelodonta) is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae. The genus includes over 70 species, mainly from the Afrotropical, Palearctic and Oriental biogeographic realms
I was also a little bit surprised when I try to find more info about this insect, because at first I though that it was just some species of a weevil, but it is a completely different family. very interesting for sure, and I hope that in the future I will get more information about this insect, and then I could share again with you, or maybe I can add more info about it myself if I could get more magnification of this insect and more knowledge.
