Hola amigos, espero que esta semana que inicia se encuentren muy bien. Poder buscar nuestro propio camino se origina en nuestro pensamiento, conducta y las decisiones que tomamos. La iniciativa de esta semana nos brinda la oportunidad de poder analizar el hecho que tienen nuestros aciertos y desaciertos de encajar en la sociedad. La sociedad generalmente actua como un rebaño donde todas las ovejas van por un mismo camino así vayan al matadero o por otro lado tambien esta la oveja negra con una mentalidad diferente al resto.

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well this week. To be able to find our own path originates in our thinking, behavior and the decisions we make. This week's initiative gives us the opportunity to analyze the fact that our successes and failures to fit into society. Society generally acts as a flock where all the sheep go the same way even if they go to the slaughterhouse or on the other hand there is also the black sheep with a different mentality than the rest.

Que espera la Sociedad? -What does the Company expect?

Vivo en Venezuela en una sociedad que se inculca de forma positiva el hecho de poder estudiar, de hecho en muchas casas venezolanas se escuchan frases como "Sino Estudias no serás Nadie". También desde pequeños en las escuelas uno de los pensamientos mas famosos de Simón Bolívar es "Un ser sin estudio es un ser incompleto" o "Moral y Luces son nuestras Primeras Necesidades". En fin la sociedad venezolana valora mucho los estudios y guarda mucha expectativa sobre los estudios como una forma de estatus y posición para poder ser "alguien"

I live in Venezuela in a society that inculcates in a positive way the fact of being able to study, in fact in many Venezuelan homes you hear phrases like "Sino Estudias no serás Nadie" (If you don't study you will be nobody). Also since we are children in schools one of the most famous thoughts of Simon Bolivar is "A being without study is an incomplete being" or "Moral and Light are our First Needs". In short, the Venezuelan society values studies very much and keeps a lot of expectation about studies as a form of status and position to be "somebody".

Debido a la situación política y económica es cierto que este nivel de egresados universitarios ha disminuido, sin embargo la cultura del estudio sigue instalada en general en la sociedad venezolana.

Due to the political and economic situation, it is true that this level of university graduates has decreased, however, the culture of study continues to be generally installed in Venezuelan society.

Pienso que es algo positivo que se espera que las personas se preparen y tenga un nivel educativo porque particularmente amo estudiar, sin embargo debemos hacer lo que nos nace hacer y hacer lo que nos hace felices y nunca para cumplir los estándares sociales sino nuestros propios estándares.

I think it is a positive thing that people are expected to prepare themselves and have an educational level because I particularly love to study, however we should do what we are born to do and do what makes us happy and never to meet social standards but our own standards.

Ser Madre - Being a Mother

Una cultura que sigue instalada en la sociedad es el hecho de que se espera que la mujer sea madre, porque si no "se te va a pasar el arroz", de forma casi natural se impulsa mucho el hecho de que las mujeres venezolanas puedan ser madres a una edad donde aún te consideres joven en la sociedad.

A culture that is still installed in society is the fact that women are expected to be mothers, because if not "the rice is going to go to waste", in an almost natural way, Venezuelan women are encouraged to become mothers at an age where you are still considered young in society.

Particularmente no soy madre, y si, tal vez en algún momento puedo serlo porque si me gustaría, sin embargo siento que es más importante ahora mismo seguir enfocándome en mi propio camino, crear una línea de ropa y algo que me haga sentir llena, con estabilidad económica para poder traer un hijo al mundo y aun no sé si el tiempo alcance.

Particularly I am not a mother, and yes, maybe at some point I can be one because I would like to, however I feel it is more important right now to continue focusing on my own path, create a clothing line and something that makes me feel full, with economic stability to bring a child into the world and I still do not know if the time is enough.

Ser sociable - Be sociable

La cultura del caribe es una zona muy hermosa porque generalmente estos países tienen esa sabrosura caribeña, ritmo, sazón, fuerza y una gracia que caracteriza a estos países. Yo en cambio, soy calmada e introvertida en ambientes abiertos.

The Caribbean culture is a very beautiful area because generally these countries have that Caribbean flavor, rhythm, spice, strength and grace that characterizes these countries. I, on the other hand, am calm and introverted in open environments.

Viveza Criolla - Creole Liveliness

Uno de los desaciertos de la cultura venezolana es la Viveza criolla que esta instalada en muchas casas venezolanas, es un antivalor que deteriora la sociedad, y es algo que debería de cambiar en el pensamiento y accionar para lograr ser un mejor pais.

One of the mistakes of the Venezuelan culture is the Viveza criolla that is installed in many Venezuelan homes, it is an anti-value that deteriorates society, and is something that should change in the thinking and actions to become a better country.

Adaptación y Resiliencia - Adaptation and Resilience

"Pa´ lante es para allá", "El que no arriesga no gana" "No hay mal que dure cien años" ...

“Forward is the way to go,” “Nothing ventured, nothing gained,” “No evil lasts a hundred years.”

De nosotros se espera que seamos fuertes que ante la adversidad seamos seres capaces de soportar escenarios difíciles. Donde las adversidades se deben afrontar con buen entusiasmo porque tenemos salud y esperanza, siempre la respuesta de un venezolano será; estoy bien! Asi que tenemos socialmente una cultura de resistencia, resiliencia y fuerza siempre colocando la mejor cara ante la tragedia porque "Al mal tiempo, buena Cara"

We are expected to be strong and in the face of adversity to be able to withstand difficult scenarios. Where adversities must be faced with good enthusiasm because we have health and hope, the response of a Venezuelan will always be; I'm fine! So we have socially a culture of resistance, resilience and strength always putting the best face to the tragedy because "Al mal tiempo, buena Cara" (to bad weather, good face).
