As usual, I took some time to walk in the open nature and my target this morning was the longan garden. At that time the sun was not yet shining hot, the air was still very cool. I walked slowly among the longan trees there. I chose this place because currently the longan trees are producing flowers, automatically the insects will hunt for the nectar contained in the flowers.
My guess was right, when I arrived there I was greeted by many beautiful insects that were partying. There were various butterflies, wasps and bees, even flies were there. I was amazed by them. They were very busy with their activities, examining all the flowers. One by one they examined them very carefully.
Of the many insects there, this wasp caught my attention the most. It was the yellow-and-black potter wasp or in Latin known as delta campaniforme. One of the wasps with a very slender waist that comes from the vespidae family. The color it has is also in accordance with its name, yellow and black, with a little brown.
What is more interesting about this wasp is the way it sucks nectar. It checks each flower very quickly. Like someone who is very hungry and can't wait to eat. When it moves to another flower stalk, it doesn't fly like other insects in general, but walks at a super sharp speed. It keeps moving non-stop which makes it a little difficult for me to photograph it.
