Striped Barbados Lily is one of the plants that live in the wild and has flowers that can steal attention with its very beautiful and charming appearance. Its striking color can hypnotize the sense of sight of anyone who glances at it. In the past, this plant only existed in the wild, but over time this plant has begun to be cultivated as an ornamental plant.
In my opinion, this striped Barbados Lily flower not only has a charming appearance, but it is also one of the plants that has a symbol of perseverance. It grows silently, then blooms confidently without any previous signs. The flower stalk appears directly on the tuber in the soil. The stalk is very long, about 30 cm from the surface of the soil. One stalk can produce 4 to 5 flowers. The one I photographed has not bloomed all, maybe in 2 or 3 days it will all bloom.
This striped Barbados Lily plant can grow anywhere, it doesn't have to be a more fertile place. However, it also needs to be understood that if you want to cultivate it, this plant needs full sunlight to produce maximum flowers. In Latin, this plant is known as hippeastrum striatum, a plant that comes from the amaryllidaceae family.
