For those of you who live in an agricultural environment, you must be familiar with this insect. It is a stink bug or in Latin known as leptocorisa oratoria, which is one of the slender insects from the Alydidae family.
For those of us who like to take pictures in nature or observe small things that are often missed, this insect is the one we are looking for. It is one of our most beautiful models. Easy to find and difficult to photograph. Difficulty that makes it addictive.
But for farmers, this stink bug is the biggest enemy, especially rice farmers. As we know, stink bugs are figures that suck fruit or seed fluids. Usually they attack rice plants when the rice plants start to become pregnant, because at that time the grains are just starting to form.
They will infiltrate silently between the rice stalks to find the essence and suck it. If not immediately eradicated, it will be fatal. They come in large groups, like the one I found here, in this place there are so many, only when I approach them on average they fly away.
Even though they like to give farmers a headache, their presence in this world also has an important role in the ecosystem, they are part of the food chain.
