Spiders of the Genus Oxyopes

in Nature Observer3 days ago

This morning the weather was cloudy and only accompanied by a cold breeze without the usual chirping of birds. But all that did not stop me from exploring the outdoors. Walking in the outdoors in the morning is a fun activity and makes me addicted. Because at that time there were many things to enjoy, one of which was the spider that I met. They are active when the sun shines softly.

I found the spider standing majestically on one of the green leaves. The spider was very beautiful with a slender orange body decorated with black and white stripes that looked so charming. Its long and slender legs decorated with fine hairs that resemble thorns also managed to make its appearance even more spectacular.

The beautiful spider that I met was one of the spiders from the Genus Oxyopes which is known as an ambush predator and this spider belongs to the Oxyopidae family. Uniquely, this spider does not make a trap web to hunt prey, they hide behind leaves to hunt for delicious food. Only pests that try to damage a plant will be caught by them. These spiders are all over the world, not only in Indonesia.

It amazes me how you share with us insects after insects daily. In some other parts of the world These insects are rare to find.

Maybe the climate here is more supportive of spiders and other insects. I feel lucky to be able to live side by side with them, I can observe and share beautiful moments from them. It seems like we are balanced bro, you enjoy the beautiful insects from me. while I enjoy the beautiful scenery from you every day.

That is true hey our world is balance, one country can't have it all.

There are many types of spiders in nature, and spiders are always interesting to observe and study. Nice shot brother :-)

Yes, it's true, there are a lot, approximately 50k species. Thank you for your beautiful comments.
