Idaea subsericeata is one of the unique insects I have ever encountered, its talent in staying still is extraordinary. I was near it for almost ten minutes, but it never moved. Not a single part of its body was moved. If it were to take part in a staying still competition, I am sure it would be the winner. There are other insects that I have encountered that are staying still in a place, but not for that long. Its uniqueness is enough to make me speechless.
Behind its extraordinary talent, there is also a stunning appearance. Its color is very soft, light brown decorated with fine lines with the same color character. So fine that it is almost invisible but still gives a distinctive character. If we look at it briefly, it looks ordinary or even not interesting at all. However, if we take a moment to observe it, its appearance is extraordinary.
At first I was not sure if it was a moth, what I thought was a dry leaf that had fallen and stuck to the green leaf. After approaching it at a closer distance, I realized that it was a moth. Its vague motif made it difficult for me to guess from a distance. He prefers to live a quiet life rather than stand out, it is truly extraordinary.
