Euproctis lutea

Well, on this beautiful morning I managed to find a moth whose color was very beautiful. This beautiful moth is called Euproctis lutea or better known as the fresh-water mangrove itchy caterpillar. The moth was very beautiful, its thick soft fur and striking color made me stunned by it. That is the main attraction this moth has.

Even though the moth has extraordinary beauty, many people ignore it. Due to its size, it is difficult for the naked eye to see. If I weren't a macro photo lover, I would most likely also ignore its beauty. Its size is very small, larger than a corn kernel than this moth.

There is one more thing that is an added value for this moth, he is very good. When I approached, the moth continued to stay there without moving at all, let alone trying to escape. Until I finished taking photos, the moth was still faithfully sitting on the leaf.

If you want to see firsthand the beauty of the Euproctis lutea moth, then come to the plantation. Such as coconut plantations, areca nut, oil palm plantations and other places with dense vegetation. This is the kind of place that these moths like, because they will eat the leaves of plants, like the plants I just mentioned.

However, you also need to understand that this moth is not very popular in the agricultural sector. However, this moth is quite dangerous for plants as I just said above.
