Eumerus figurans

Among the expanse of green grass that looked ordinary, I found someone sitting sweetly on a blade of grass there. In Latin, this beautiful insect is known as Eumerus figurans, which is a type of fly from the Syrphidae family. This fly is slightly different from the flies that we often see everywhere. This fly only likes green environments and colorful flower gardens.

Judging from its costume, this fly looks very much like a bee. Try to pay attention to the color pattern that the fly has, the basic color of its body is black decorated with silver mixed with gold. Its entire body is also protected by thick, fine hairs that are the same color. Although its appearance is similar to a bee, don't worry, it doesn't sting.

This fly not only has a beautiful and attractive appearance. But it is one of the best disguise artists in the insect world. Only two things make this fly slightly different from a bee, namely wings and antennae. Bees have two pairs of wings while this fly only has one pair of wings. Bees have long antennae but this fly has short antennae with rounded tips.
