Today while I was walking in nature I came across a unique and beautiful scene A small insect was sitting still on a green leaf a peaceful moment of a herbivorous insect While capturing that scene on my mobile camera I felt how beautiful and lively nature is at every moment where even such an insect becomes a symbol of beauty The name of this insect is Grasshopper In Bengali it is also sometimes called It is a type of insect belonging to the Caelifera class whose body is usually green or brown in color which helps them to blend in with their surroundings and hide Their long legs powerful jumping ability and leaf-like body shape make it a wonderful creation of nature The grasshopper seen in the picture is standing holding a grass stem like an engrossed spectator on nature’s green stage Its two hind legs are folded a lot with which it can jump forward at that moment Its color combination light brown and green blends beautifully with the color of the surrounding leaves.
The beauty of the grasshopper is not only in its external structure but also in its behavior and ability to blend in with its environment It is a harmless insect mainly eating grass and leaves There is a rhythm in their movements jumping and resting on leaves Since they are mainly active in the morning and afternoon their beauty is further enhanced by the play of light and shadow If you look a little deeper into nature you will understand that each insect is a living work of art Just as every part of this grasshopper's body is well organized the head eyes body wings and legs nature's perfect plan exists in everything Grasshoppers are an important part of nature's food chain They eat various grass like plants that may seem harmful at times but at the same time they also serve as food for birds frogs lizards and small mammals In other words they are silent warriors in maintaining the balance of the environment.
