yesterday I decided to take a walk in the forest which is not too far from home, the fresh air and peace of the forest provided a pleasant atmosphere and made me forget for a moment about my very busy daily routine, while walking slowly between the lush trees my gaze was drawn to at something lying on the ground, after I got closer it turned out it was a beetle that had died and its head was severed from its body, I recognized this species which is often referred to as the coconut beetle where I live, even though it was dead, I was still interested in it. know more about it.

Rhynchophorus ferrugineus is a species known as a serious pest for coconut plantations. This beetle is only easy to find in tropical areas where coconut is one of the most widely cultivated types of plants. The main characteristic of this beetle is its brownish red body color and pattern. which is somewhat faded, on the head there is a long and distinctive snout which is used to drill into the bark of coconut trees to suck liquid from the inside of the coconut trunk.
