This is the Genus Chassalia which is one of the groups of flowering plants included in the Rubiaceae family, this family includes coffee plants to ixora, although the Genus Chassalia is not as popular as other plants included in this family, the Genus Chassalia has its own uniqueness in terms of morphology, ecology and its benefits for the environment and humans.
In my place of residence, so far Chassalia is known as a shrub and weed that grows under other large trees, I noticed that the location where they grow has moist and cool soil conditions, and actually my knowledge about this plant is still very limited, I do not know about other benefits that Chassalia has for various needs that can be utilized by humans, for example medical needs and so on.
Morphologically, Chassalia has shiny green leaves with an oval or elliptical shape, the leaves are arranged oppositely on the stem with fairly clearly visible leaf veins, one of the main attractions of this genus is its flowers which are small but quite eye-catching when observed, the color of Chassalia flowers varies greatly from white, red to purple, Chassalia flowers grow in small groups that are arranged very neatly.
