Podoscypha petalodes fungus.
This mushroom has a distinctive shape with wavy edges and slightly curled upwards. The color is reddish brown, a little dull, but when exposed to light from a certain angle, you can see there is a slight shine on the surface. As I got closer to take a photo, I noticed the texture was a bit stiff compared to other mushrooms which are usually softer or slimier.
I found it in a fairly damp area, among the remains of leaves and twigs that were starting to rot. Maybe this is their favorite place to grow because mushrooms like environments rich in organic matter. Unfortunately, I only found one small group, not as many as some other types of mushrooms which often grow in clusters.
I don't know whether this mushroom has any particular benefits or is edible, so I just captured its beauty on camera without touching or disturbing it any further. After taking photos from several angles, I continued exploring and left this mushroom where it was.
