Initially, I didn't find much apart from rice plants and wild grass around it. However, when I looked closer, I saw a small, brightly colored insect perched on a leaf. After observing it in more detail and photographing it using a macro lens, I am sure this is an insect from the Genus Cofana, which is still included in the Cicadellidae family or leafhoppers.
The characteristic of the Cofana that I found is its slender body with a dominant color of pale yellow to greenish, and large, striking eyes. When approached, these insects are very alert and quickly jump to other leaves. The movements are agile, so it took several tries to get a clear photo.
Usually, Cofana can be found in areas with lots of green plants, especially around rice or other plants which are its food source. This insect is also known as a type of planthopper that can affect plant growth, although its presence is not always in large numbers like the brown planthopper which is more often a pest.
NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
