Being able to sew and deliver clothes to customers at the time they need is something I'm always proud of.
So in this post I'll share one of such projects and the fun I had in creating it.
So my client said he wanted a green short but with cargo pockets at the sides and front. So yeah, I understood, he gave me the deadline and yeah, I went to the market in search of a good green fabric for the short. And it took a while to actually see the shade of green he wanted and I quickly bought it
So I got home and quickly laid out the fabric and cut out a large size short pieces for him. It usually doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes for me to cut a short
After that I moved straight to the machine and started with sewing the front pockets unto the front piece and then another pocket with its cover by the knee side onto the front piece too.
Next I joined one front piece to one back piece together
Then attached the stylish pocket at the side.
Next was fix the back pocket and then close up the shorts. And then attach the elastic band for the waist and that was it.
The short was ready.
Looking at it it seems easy to make but this took me way longer time than I thought it would. Fixing those pockets and making sure the all aligned with the other pair was a lot of work. But I'm so glad I was able to do it within hours. After sewing the shorts I take it to weaving and after weaving I cut out the weaving threads to ensure neat finishing, and then do a final ironing before packaging it for the client.
Having a skill and being good at it is so much fun, it brings great satisfaction and the best feeling is when a client actually loves it.
I thank you all for your time here and I hope you liked it too. I'll see you all next time!
