When we have a heavy snowfall, it can be several days before I see the squirrels come down from their trees on my front lawn. There will be no sign of any animal prints, and then the first brave soul will emerge and begin looking for food. The weather had improved enough for this little one to go hopping around hunting for whatever treasures might be buried in the snow. In Calgary, they wont have to wait to long as even in the dead of winter, we can fluctuate into warm weather every few weeks so I never get to worried about these guys as they always seem to find a way.
