Yeah, things have really went downhill. I think a lot of it has to do with the empathy deficit I have been talking about every now and then for a while. I'm actually reading a book right now called "Let Them" and it basically says adults have the emotional level of an 8 year old. Just some of them have learned how to handle and regulate those emotions better. Remember all the fights over "cutting" in line back in school.... :) On this past trip I had to physically shove people back to help an older lady get her cart out of the elevator on the ground floor. It was bad. Embassy is pretty middle of the road these days. I have rewards plans with both Mariott and Hilton, but I tend to stay at Hilton more. Ever since Covid the quality of everything has gotten worse and in a couple of weeks we are giving Mariott a chance again. Not a Residence Inn, but still a Mariott brand hotel.
