I am not a fan of social networks so I can actually go a week without checking it. I never said it isn’t good for me because there are so many informations we can get from social media and we won’t get them elsewhere. This afternoon, I was extremely bored so I was just moving from TikTok to Instagram and to X.
At first, I was finding it difficult to login to my accounts because I already forgot all my passwords and I had to reset them before I could gain access to my account. Honestly, it was very tiring. I kept on scrolling through those pages until I saw something that interests me. I saw a video where a little girl was having her birthday celebration which was organized by her parents. When the birthday girl was called to come and dance with her friends, all the girls came out to dance but guess what they all were doing? They were twerking and what made me feel somehow was the fact that their parents were clapping for them which made it obvious that their parents love what they were doing.
How do you feel about this? Do you think those kids lack manners. I remember sometime ago when my friend works in the school and when she gets back home, she complains of how some parents come to school and tell them that their child is portraying some behaviors in the house like twerking, singing some songs that are not for their age and all but I think these parents have forgotten that a child can’t just bring up a behavior without having to see it somewhere. Some of these parents put on the television and switch it to the music channel where people go naked without having to excuse their child but they complain that their child is having some behaviors. Have they forgotten that that child is portraying their behavior?
There’s a popular school in my country. They travelled to Dubai for excursion and the next thing we saw was how kids ranging from nine to eleven years old were acting porn and they even had to guts to make videos. A child is tabular rasa which means that the child is empty when they came into the world. They didn’t bring all of these acts from heaven which means they must have learnt it somewhere.
I feel as a parent, it is your duty to moniyor and protect your child so that the child will at least grow to a reasonable stage where he or she can decide to choose what they want to do as long as they know what is right and what is not.
I laugh when people say thag the GenZ generation is worst. What’s actually going to happen to the generation coming after the GenZ? They may be worse with where the world is going to now.
I’m not a parent yet but I’m scared of having kids. How do I train my child? How do I protect my child from negative vices in the world? To those who are parents now, how are you doing it? Parenting must be a difficult task especially for the fact that you have to stop some things when you become a parent because you have to be a good role model to your child.
What’s your take on this and what do you feel is the best way to train a child?
