Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
Exactly at 3:00 in the afternoon, when I was chatting with my grandfather about the new problem that my mother was suffering from, namely the possibility of my mother's cancer recurring, which made the whole family very confused and sad, but remembering that was not a reason to make us give up on the situation, because we were sure that every difficulty would definitely be accompanied by ease ahead.
After chatting for quite a while, finally my grandfather told me to harvest cocoa fruit in the garden in order to reduce the headache that I felt. Hearing my grandfather's order, I immediately agreed and started to take the equipment to be ready to harvest the cocoa fruit.
However, when I was preparing the equipment, suddenly a little boy came and immediately asked me to take him to harvest cocoa fruit. I immediately agreed and immediately invited the little boy to join in harvesting cocoa fruit. The first place I harvested was in the backyard of the house.
As soon as I arrived at the plantation behind my house, I was immediately surprised to see many ripe cocoa fruits and many cocoa fruits that were rotten and attacked by squirrel pests, considering that it had been a long time since I had harvested cocoa fruit because lately I had been busy with other work.
However, having small children in the cocoa fruit harvesting process really helps me, because I can pick a lot of cocoa fruit and let the small children collect them, so this job becomes easier.
This little boy often asks to join in whatever activity I do, even when hunting for beautiful pictures, this little boy still insists on joining, because when the work is finished, I will definitely give him some money so he can buy the food he wants. This cocoa harvest felt very light and easy so I harvested the cocoa fruit in the backyard very quickly.
But now the squirrel pests have gotten worse, many of my cocoa fruits have become their targets.
However, squirrel pests are not as bad as we imagine, because when squirrels make holes in cocoa fruit, they will not eat the seeds until they are finished, but instead they will lick and suck the sweet taste produced by the cocoa seeds. After the sweet taste is gone, the squirrels will throw the cocoa seeds to the ground.
Even the cocoa beans that squirrels lick will be cleaner than when we dry them. However, squirrels are still pests and must be prevented from damaging other plants.
Usually when I harvest cocoa fruit it definitely takes about 2 hours or 2 and a half hours, but because this time there were small children involved, the cocoa fruit harvest was finished quickly, we only needed about 1 and a half hours to finish.
In total we managed to collect 4 carts full and this time the harvest was quite abundant, because I also haven't harvested for a long time. This was the last cart, so after that we immediately took the cocoa fruit home.
However, on the way, I saw my uncle who was cleaning coconut leaves to take the stem with the aim of being used as firewood in his house. Considering that the wood needed was not much, I did not help him and immediately continued my activities, which was to bring the cocoa fruit home.
As soon as I got home, I immediately mixed the cocoa pods on the cart with the other cocoa pods that I had collected at home.
Considering that the price of cocoa fruit is currently very expensive, it must be utilized as best as possible.
But when I wanted to split the cocoa fruit, suddenly my grandfather forbade me, and my grandfather would split it himself tomorrow, I immediately agreed. Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these images are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 pro cellphone and edited the image using the Lightroom application
