Saludos, comunidad hispanohablante de Ecency, hoy les escribo, con una triste noticia, y es, que debido a las malas prácticas y al uso indiscriminado del spam realizado por algunas personas, tanto en los comentarios de los post, como en las Olas, con la intención de ganar puntos y de estar de primeros en la tabla de clasificación, se decidió, por la dirección de Ecency, como primera medida, para parar esta práctica, eliminar el post semanal de desafío de la tabla de clasificación
En este post, se daban premios a los usuarios más activos, había números de la suerte que eran rifados entre los cincuenta participantes más activos de la plataforma, y se reconocía y se felicitaba a los usuarios más activos de la tabla de clasificación de Ecency, con la idea de motivarlos a seguir siendo activos dentro de Hive a través de Ecency.
En este punto debo decir que, en mi caso particular, al darme cuenta de la situación del spam, por una situación particular ocurrida en el Discord en español. Decidí revisar varias cuentas y me di cuenta de que el spam, se estaba multiplicando de manera alarmante.
En algunos casos pasaba por desconocimiento, y en otros casos era una situación de mala praxis, de trampa y hasta de oportunismo y ventajismo, en contra de las personas que realmente son activas de manera sana en la red a través de Ecency.
Y esta práctica se hacía por el solo hecho de ganar puntos y de estar de primeros en la clasificación.
Al ver esta situación, decidí alertar a la comunidad hispana en el Discord en español, en las Olas y junto con el compañero @akrros, también hicimos una explicación bastante larga sobre el tema del spam y el mal uso de los comentarios en el AMA: Hablemos desde de Ecency, que realizamos todos los jueves en la noche.
También comenté en el Discord, que una persona por desconocimiento, podría estar haciendo spam, y de hecho les informé, que yo mismo, hacía spam, al enviar las invitaciones a los usuarios de mis sorteos, y les informé que a partir de ese momento, dejaría de hacerlo, para no incumplir con las normas de Hive y de Ecency. Algo que hice en el momento de darme cuenta de ni falta.
También colocamos en el chat en español del Discord de Ecency una información sobre: ¿Qué es y qué se considera spam en Hive? Sin embargo, la práctica del spam continúa, y ahora no solo en los posts, sino también en las Olas.
Es importante, que se entienda que la violación constante de las reglas, trae consecuencias, y la primera consecuencia que trajo el uso indiscriminado del spam, y de los comentarios sin sentido, fue el cierre del post pemanal de desafío de la tabla de clasificación de Ecency, ocasionando un daño no solo a los que cometen las faltas continúas, sino a toda la comunidad activa y sana de Ecency.
Por otro lado, es muy importante decir, que si esta actitud irresponsable de parte de algunos usuarios continúa, eso podría ocasionar algunos cambios en el proceso de otorgamiento de puntos por parte de Ecency.
Eso se haría, con la intención de parar y de seguir evitando el mal uso del fornt-end, por parte de algunas personas, que solo buscan beneficiarse del sistema de puntos.
¿Para qué sirven los puntos de Ecency?:

Los puntos son una recompensa creada para motivar a los usuarios a participar y ser más activos en la red de Hive a través del fornt-end de Ecency.
Esta recompensa que da Ecency, se puede usar dentro de la plataforma, ya sea: enviando puntos como regalos a los participantes para motivarlos, promocionando las publicaciones y también se puede comprar una delegación de HP para impulsar la cuenta.
Este proceso se hace como una técnica de gamificación, para que el usuario aprenda, se divierta y se motive, a conocer el sistema, a hacer comunidad a través de la interacción con otros participantes en los comentarios, fomente el uso de la plataforma y a la vez se beneficie, con la actividad que realiza dentro de Hive a través de Ecency.
Sin embargo, ese esfuerzo que hace Ecency, para beneficiar a toda su comunidad, se pierde por la mala praxis, y el spam realizado por algunos usuarios, quienes, con su práctica, dañan a toda la comunidad de Ecency y de Hive en general.
¿Qué daños causa el spam en Ecency y en Hive?:
- Causa deterioro en la calidad del contenido.
- Produce una experiencia negativa en el usuario, que ve mensajes irrelevantes en su contenido.
- El uso del spam, daña la reputación de Hive y puede hacer que se vea como una red no confiable, donde la gente envía spam y mensajes irrelevantes, para ganar fracciones de Hive.
- Causa situaciones incómodas y problemas que afectan a toda la comunidad. Por ejemplo, el cierre del post semanal de desafío de la tabla de clasificación de Ecency, afecta a toda la comunidad de Hive que usa Ecency.
- También tiene un problema grave referente al oportunismo y el ventajismo a nivel económico, ya que los usuarios reales de Hive y Ecency, deben competir, con personas que hacen trampa, enviando spam continuamente para ganar fracciones de Hive y puntos de Ecency.
En fin, el spam no solamente daña a Hive y a Ecency como plataforma, sino que también afecta y tiene un impacto directo en las comunidades, afectando su buen desarrollo y desenvolvimiento de las mismas, y afectando también de manera directa a los usuarios. Todos, perdemos gracias al spam.
Tipos de spam en Hive y en Ecency:
Los tipos de spam más comunes son:
- Los comentarios repetitivos, entre ellos: gran contenido, gracias por compartir, excelente post, wow qué gran concurso, excelente trabajo. También él: Hola, gracias, buen día, en las Olas y los posts, sin agregar contenidos a ese saludo.
- Copiar y pegar contenido en los posts y en los comentarios.
- Construir comentarios, a través de otros comentarios y colocados en el post o las olas.
- Hacer comentarios, giándose por la foto del post sin haber leído el contenido, generando contenidos que nada tienen que ver con el post.
- Hacer comentarios, irrelevantes.
- Uso de bots para comentar posts de manera automática.
- Publicar varios posts el día sin contenido de calidad. Ejemplo: Post de contenido de temas no relevantes con menos de 350 palabras. Post con imágenes sin comentar sobre ellas, entre otras.
- Crear contenido con IA.
- Responder con emojis o stickers sin contexto.
- Colocar enlaces de referidos, sin dar un contexto a la información colocada.
¿Qué le puede pasar al usuario que hace spam de manera constante?:
- Se le puede retirar de las comunidades.
- Se puede hacer el bloqueo de recompensas a sus posts y sus olas.
- Se le puede colocar en las listas negras del front-end de Ecency y Peadk.
- Se les puede denunciar con Hivewatchers o Spaminator, para que tomen las medidas necesarias para corregir las faltas.
¿Cuáles son las actividades legítimas en Hive y en Ecency?:
- Los comentarios que aportan un valor real al contenido publicado por el usuario, que posean preguntas, aportes, opiniones y críticas constructivas, que ayuden a profundizar el tema tratado en el post.
- Las publicaciones con contenido de calidad, que sean auténticas, originales y que cumplan con normas de las comunidades donde se publiquen, al igual que las de Hive y Ecency.
- El uso correcto de las etiquetas en los posts.
- La realización de votos de manera consciente, votos hechos de manera selectiva, y estando consciente de que el post que se vota, merece ser votado.
Por lo tanto, debemos estar atentos, y cuando nos llegue a nuestro post un mensaje spam, debemos informar de inmediato al usuario que lo realiza, que está cometiendo una falta, para que se eduque y deje de hacerlo.
Ya que el primer proceso que debemos hacer, que debemos hacer los usuarios para eliminar el spam, es la educación, y si eso no funciona, avanzar a otros modos de persuasión y después la denuncia.
Para finalizar, debo decir, que es importante que entendamos, que la mala práctica llevada a cabo por unas pocas personas, que al parecer están haciendo una suerte de competencia para ganar puntos y estar e en los primeros lugares de la clasificación de Ecency, dañó a toda la comunidad.
Y esperemos que esta mala praxis se detenga, no sea que el liderazgo de Ecency, se vea obligado a tomar otras medidas, que perjudiquen a todos los demás usuarios, debido a la inconsciencia de un grupo de personas.

Greetings, Spanish-speaking community of Ecency, today I am writing to you, with a sad news, and that is, due to the bad practices and the indiscriminate use of spam made by some people, both in the comments of the posts, and in the Waves, with the intention of earning points and being first on the leaderboard, it was decided, by the management of Ecency, as a first measure, to stop this practice, to remove the weekly challenge post from the leaderboard
In this post, prizes were given to the most active users, there were lucky numbers that were raffled among the fifty most active participants of the platform, and the most active users of the Ecency leaderboard were recognized and congratulated, with the idea of motivating them to remain active within Hive through Ecency.
At this point I must say that, in my particular case, when I realized the spam situation, because of a particular situation that occurred in the Spanish Discord. I decided to check several accounts and realized that spam was multiplying alarmingly.
In some cases it was due to ignorance, and in other cases it was a situation of malpractice, cheating and even opportunism and opportunism, against people who are really active in a healthy way on the network through Ecency.
And this practice was done for the sole reason of winning points and being first in the classification.
When I saw this situation, I decided to alert the Hispanic community on the Discord en español, on las Olas and together with the comrade @akrros, we also made a rather long explanation on the topic of spam and the misuse of comments in the AMA: Let's talk from Ecency, which we do every Thursday night.
I also commented on the Discord, that a person due to ignorance, could be spamming, and in fact I informed them, that I, myself, was spamming, when sending the invitations to the users of my sweepstakes, and I informed them that from that moment, I would stop doing it, so as not to violate the Hive and Ecency rules. Something that I did at the moment of realizing is not missing.
We also put in the Spanish chat of the Ecency Discord an information about: What is and what is considered spam in Hive? However, the practice of spam continues, and now not only in the posts, but also in the Waves.
It is important to understand that the constant violation of the rules, brings consequences, and the first consequence that brought the indiscriminate use of spam, and meaningless comments, was the closure of the weekly challenge post of the Ecency classification table, causing harm not only to those who commit the continuous faults, but to the entire active and healthy community of Ecency.
On the other hand, it is very important to say that if this irresponsible attitude on the part of some users continues, that could cause some changes in the process of awarding points by Ecency.
This would be done, with the intention of stopping and continuing to prevent the misuse of the fornt-end, by some people, who only seek to benefit from the points system.
What are Ecency points for?:

The points are a reward created to motivate users to participate and be more active in the Hive network through the Ecency fornt-end.
This reward that Ecency gives, can be used within the platform, either: sending points as gifts to the participants to motivate them, promoting the publications and you can also buy an HP delegation to boost the account.
This process is done as a gamification technique, so that the user learns, has fun and is motivated, to get to know the system, to make community through interaction with other participants in the comments, encourage the use of the platform and at the same time benefit, with the activity carried out within Hive through Ecency.
However, that effort that Ecency makes, to benefit its entire community, is lost due to malpractice, and spam made by some users, who, with their practice, harm the entire Ecency community and Hive in general.
What damage does spam cause in Ecency and Hive?:
- Causes deterioration in the quality of the content.
- It produces a negative experience in the user, who sees irrelevant messages in its content.
- The use of spam, damages the reputation of Hive and can make it look like an unreliable network, where people send spam and irrelevant messages, to earn fractions of Hive.
- Causes uncomfortable situations and problems that affect the entire community. For example, the closure of the weekly Ecency leaderboard challenge post affects the entire Hive community that uses Ecency.
- It also has a serious problem regarding opportunism and economic advantage, since real Hive and Ecency users must compete with people who cheat, sending spam continuously to earn Hive fractions and Ecency points.

Types of spam in Hive and in Ecency:

What can happen to the user who constantly spams?:

- They can be reported to Hivewatchers or Spaminator, so that they can take the necessary measures to correct the faults.
What are the legitimate activities in Hive and in Ecency?:
- Comments that add real value to the content published by the user, that have questions, contributions, opinions and constructive criticism, that help to deepen the topic covered in the post.
- Publications with quality content, which are authentic, original and comply with the standards of the communities where they are published, as well as those of Hive and Ecency.
- The correct use of tags in posts.
- Making votes in a conscious way, votes made selectively, and being aware that the post that is voted on deserves to be voted on.
Therefore, we must be attentive, and when a spam message reaches our post, we must immediately inform the user who makes it, that he is committing a fault, so that he educates himself and stops doing it.
Since the first process that we must do, that we users must do to eliminate spam, is education, and if that does not work, move on to other modes of persuasion and then the complaint.
Finally, I must say that it is important for us to understand that the bad practice carried out by a few people, who apparently are doing a kind of competition to earn points and be in the first places of the Ecency classification, damaged the entire community.
And let's hope that this malpractice stops, lest the leadership of Ecency, is forced to take other measures, which harm all other users, due to the unconsciousness of a group of people.
