Hola comunidad @ladiesofhive nuevamente con ustedes con el vigésimo primer capítulo de las Cosas pequeñas que me sostienen.
Hace unos días quedé con varios amigos de la universidad después de muchísimo tiempo sin vernos.
Entre trabajos, rutinas, problemas de transporte y horarios distintos, las reuniones se vuelven cada vez más difíciles de coordinar. Así que cuando finalmente logramos coincidir, decidimos vernos en una heladería cerca de la playa.
Y por supuesto, comer helado era parte importante del plan.
Pero el transporte, como suele pasar tantas veces, decidió jugar en mi contra.
Después de esperar bastante tiempo sin resultados, terminé tomando un taxi moto para no llegar todavía más tarde.
Aun así, cuando llegué, todos ya estaban sentados conversando y esperando el pedido.
Después de los saludos, las bromas y ese afecto que aparece incluso cuando ha pasado mucho tiempo sin verse, uno de mis amigos me dijo algo que me sorprendió más de lo que esperaba:
“Te sigue gustando el helado de naranja piña, ¿verdad? Porque ese fue el que pedimos para ti.”
Y casi sin pensar respondí:
“Sí… pero con un brownie de chocolate.”
Entonces él se rió y contestó:
“Por supuesto. Sabía que era así.”
Y aunque parece una conversación completamente simple, hubo algo en ese momento que me hizo sentir muy querida.
Porque a veces el cariño aparece de formas pequeñas.
En descubrir que alguien todavía recuerda detalles sobre ti incluso después del tiempo. Que entre tantas personas, conversaciones y cambios, ciertas cosas tuyas permanecen en la memoria de alguien más.
No era solo el sabor del helado.
Era sentir que me habían tenido presente antes incluso de llegar.
Y creo que esos pequeños gestos tienen más peso del que imaginamos.
Porque nos recuerdan algo muy humano:
que ser vistos también significa ser recordados en los detalles más simples.
Y honestamente, en un mundo donde todo parece ir tan rápido, encontrar personas que todavía prestan atención a esas pequeñas cosas…
también me sostiene.

Hello @ladiesofhive community, once again with you with the twenty-first chapter of Small Things That Sustain Me.
A few days ago I met up with several university friends after a very long time without seeing each other.
Between work, routines, transportation problems, and different schedules, gatherings become harder and harder to organize. So when we finally managed to coincide, we decided to meet at an ice cream place near the beach.
And of course, eating ice cream was an important part of the plan.
But transportation, as happens so many times, decided to work against me.
After waiting for quite a while without success, I ended up taking a motorcycle taxi so I would not arrive even later.
Even so, by the time I arrived, everyone was already sitting together talking and waiting for the order.
After the greetings, the jokes, and that affection that appears even after a long time without seeing each other, one of my friends said something that surprised me more than I expected:
“You still like orange-pineapple ice cream, right? Because that’s the one we ordered for you.”
And almost without thinking, I replied:
“Yes… but with a chocolate brownie.”
Then he laughed and answered:
“Of course. I knew that too.”
And although it may seem like a completely simple conversation, there was something about that moment that made me feel deeply appreciated.
Because sometimes affection appears in small ways.
In realizing that someone still remembers little details about you even after time has passed. That among so many people, conversations, and changes, certain things about you remain in someone else’s memory.
It was not only about the ice cream flavor.
It was about feeling that they had thought about me before I even arrived.
And I think those small gestures carry more weight than we imagine.
Because they remind us of something very human:
being seen also means being remembered in the simplest details.
And honestly, in a world where everything moves so fast, finding people who still pay attention to those small things…
also sustains me.
