Hello Ladies, it's a wonderful Sunday night from my end , I hope you had an amazing day? Its being a blissful day so far and I hope for a better Monday. Let's dive into our discussion.
Okay if I am being honest here, I will say that I am more motivated by my passion, you see for me, passion is the fuel that just keeps me going, Like, if you don’t have passion for something you are actually doing, then the effort will just be wasted, like really wasted , I see no reason why passion should not drive a person, because without that inner drive, you will just be dragging yourself through.
So i have noticed that anytime I am passionate about something, I put in my best without even being told and see It does not feel like stress; instead, it feels like I am doing something that is part of me, I wake up and just want to do it because there is that fire burning inside me to do it , that is exactly what passion does, it burns like a flame that pushes you forward even when you are just tired or things are just not going smoothly.
But at the same time, I can not deny that profit also motivates me, I mean, let us not lie, in this life now, everything needs money to run, it doesn't matter whether you are passionate or not, if there is nothing to sustain that passion, see it will just fade away, okay now for example, you might be passionate about writing or art, but if there is no way to make something out of it financially to keep buying materials etc, then it becomes harder to keep going, that is just the truth, so for me, I will say passion comes first, but profit follows very suit.
I remember when I first started writing online , then I started with this app called watt pad, Seee at the beginning, it was just passion because I was an art student and I loved books and also loved expressing myself, telling my stories, and also connecting with people, but then, when I saw that I could also earn something from it, the motivation doubled, I got into uptrend when my sister told me about earning from writing, see the profit didn’t kill the passion , instead, it gave me more reason to stay consistent, passion gave me the energy I needed, but profit made it very sustainable.
So for me I do kinda see both of them like partners, passion is the fire, and profit is the oil that just keeps the fire burning, just know that without passion, profit alone can feel empty, because you will just be doing things for money and no joy will come from it at all, but without profit, passion can become frustrating, because you will feel like you are doing so much yet nothing is supporting you to continue.
Independence too is important, don’t get me wrong, I like the feeling of knowing I can make choices for myself and not depend on anyone for any thing , but the real driver for me will always be passion, because that is where everything begins, profit comes in to back it up, and independence is just like the result that you enjoy from combining them both.
So yes, passion does motivates me the most, because it is the heartbeat of everything that I do, profit is also there, because at the end of the day, money is needed to make life really comfortable.
