I totally feel you, budgeting ain't fun at all when you don't have anything to budget. I would challenge you to be a bit more included in the finances though, so that when (let's hope not) something would happen at least you know what's up. I always tell my bf the same, check the sheet man, you can see what's still open this month and what's left. He never checks it, lol.
