When you hear the word aging is an obligation, "maturing is a choice", do you agree? Do you think aging is an obligation? Do you think maturing is optional?
Aging is a natural process that happens in every living being. From the moment each and everyone was born, we begin to age, it's an unavoidable and irreversible process that affects us all. Regardless of our background, we all undergo physical changes as we grow older.

The truth is, as we all grow, our internal organs functions less effectively, we begin to have wrinkles, gray hair, arthritic pain, for alot of person's age related diseases like hypertension and Alzheimer's ( which is a progressive brain disorder that affects memory)
That being said, aging is an obligation because we cannot hide away from it, we cannot choose to remain young forever, we can only improve or make the aging process better by eating and taking care of ourselves.
BUT on the other hand...
Maturing is definitely optional, let me paint a scenario of what happen to me at work.
Me: Good evening sir?
Him: Good evening..
Me: sir, what do you want?
Him: I want mobile insecticide..
Me: #2200
Him: give me one
Me: OK
Him: is it just two that is remaining?
*Me: Yes sir,
Him: can you keep the last one for me, I will get it tomorrow
Me: no problem sir
This was a conversation between me and someone I held on a high pedestal, we don't communicate much since it's just buy and sell relationship we have.
Mind you, my boss was there, fully aware and involved in this conversation as these exchanges were going on.
The next day..
Him: where is my mobile insecticide
My colleague: it has finished
Him: where is that stupid girl
Him: raining insults upon insults on me
Mind you I was outside the door, attending to someone, I did not alter a word but...
Me: confused and angry within me, I did not alter any insulting word towards him, but trying to explain myself to him and others who care to listen, but it fell on daft ears.
Long story short, my boss had sold it to another lady even when I asked him not to, well it's his business, but now am taking the blow for what I did not even do.
I was confused because I never expected him to stup so low in a public setting, for something he haven't paid for.
What am I saying, there are some characters some grown adults exhibit that will just throw you off guard.
So maturing is definitely voluntary process that requires effort and dedication, in this case I will say, I was the matured one. Maturing is not dependent on age alone, it's a mindset and a choice, and I chose to be matured.
SO BASICALLY,AS WE AGE, WE HAVE THE CHOICE OF BEING MATURE ABOUT THINGS.
