Greetings to all, in this beautiful Ladies of Hive Community. Heeding the call of this contest number 241, today I return to participate. Here I share this week's invitation. Thank you @priyanarc for these great questions!
This time I will answer the second question of the contest: If you could instantly master one skill but forget one you already know, what would you choose?
This question is a little difficult to answer. Let's see. A skill is a skill or an ability to do something intentionally. We generally acquire or develop a skill through practice or repetition; so the premise that practice makes perfect applies. Obviously, there are cases in which it's naturally easier to develop a skill, and other times it's more difficult; but, in short, skills require our time, effort, and practice.
If I had to sacrifice a skill, I'd say I could trade 30% of a cognitive skill I have, which is my memory, for 30% of a social skill. I could make that trade-off or concession, but only then, a portion of each, not sacrificing 100% of one for the other—no, because I like my memory, which is almost photographic.
However, I believe that in a world as complex as the one we currently live in, having a little more social skills could be of great help, as it would allow me to manage many issues more fluidly, both in reality and virtually. It could also somewhat limit my tendency to overthink situations.
Well, even so, everything is relative, and I believe there's no need to exchange, but rather to accept what you have and work toward improving what you want to improve. And if you can't achieve this, then no problem; you live with what you have and who you are. In short, the world is vast, there are many ways of life, many types of people, many points of view.

Saludos a todos en esta hermosa Comunidad de Ladies of Hive. Atendiendo la convocatoria de este concurso número 241, hoy vuelvo a participar. Aquí les comparto la invitación de esta semana. Gracias @priyanarc por estas estupendas preguntas!
En esta ocasión responderé la segunda pregunta del concurso: Si pudieras dominar instantáneamente una habilidad pero olvidar otra que ya conoces, ¿cuál elegirías?
Esta pregunta está un poquito difícil de responder. Veamos. Una habilidad es una destreza o una capacidad para hacer algo de manera intencionada. Generalmente adquirimos o desarrollamos una habilidad a través de la ejercitación o repetición; así que se aplica la premisa de que la práctica hace al maestro. Obviamente, hay casos en el que de manera natural es más sencillo desarrollar una habilidad, y en otras ocasiones es más difícil; pero, en resumen, las habilidades requieren de nuestro tiempo, esfuerzo y práctica.
Si yo tuviese que sacrificar alguna habilidad, diría que pudiera permutar el 30% de una habilidad cognitiva que tengo, que es mi memoria, por un 30% de habilidad social. Podría hacer ese trueque o esa concesión, pero sólo así, una porción de cada una, no sacrificar al 100% una por la otra, eso no, pues me gusta mi memoria, que es casi fotográfica.
Sin embargo, creo que en un mundo tan complejo como el que actualmente vivimos, el tener un poquito más de habilidad social, me podría ser de gran ayuda, pues me permitiría gestionar de forma más fluida muchos asuntos, tanto en la realidad como en la virtualidad; además, podría limitar un poco la tendencia que a veces tengo de sobrepensar las situaciones.
Bueno, aun así, todo es relativo, y creo que no hay necesidad de permutar, sino de aceptar lo que se tiene y trabajar en pro de mejorar lo que se desea mejorar, y si no se puede lograr esto, entonces no hay problema, se vive con lo que se tiene y con lo que se es. Total, el mundo es amplio, hay muchas formas de vida, muchos tipos de personas, muchos puntos de vista.
