Kitchen utensils are becoming really expensive nowadays. Currently, I have a need to replace a lot of them, but the cost has been crazy. I remember wanting to do it in January, but when I checked some of the prices of the ones I wanted to replace, I said, No, let me wait; probably the price will drop down, but the more I keep waiting, the more things go up and up. It's not funny.
The speed at which things add money these days is overwhelming, not even times two but 4 times an old price. In fact, some items are doing 6X, and I keep wondering what manner of inflation this is and where we are heading to from here. We the look of things in this part of my world, there's no hope of things getting cheaper anytime soon. Obviously, our current president will still go for a second tenure; that's a total of 8 years in leadership and 8 years of hardship and all manner of pains we kept enduring, but it is what it is. I'm just imagining how much the Naira-to-dollar exchange will be by the end of his rule. Hopefully, I will have enough USDT to at least take a little advantage of the whole saga!
Talking about some kitchen utensils I am buying gradually, I really need a recommendation on the type of blender I can get that can give me a smooth texture of beans when blended with it. Bean pudding is one of our native foods I don't joke with, but at the same time, I don't like blending it in the market but in my kitchen with my own blender, where I will be sure of hygiene, lol.
I have never been lucky with the kind of blender I buy. I remember the silver crest I bought directly from China through sea shipping; it got spoiled in under two months, and many other products I have used in the past. A friend told me that most blenders can do a good job, but I should know how to add water to it. But then, apart from the water quantity, some blenders will not give you that smooth texture, no matter how much water or how long you blend it; this is my experience so far.
There was a time we got a good blender for #8,000, and it did a good job in those days anyway, but now, you have to spend high to get a quality product, and sometimes it wouldn't give a quality result even. I understand that the olden-day products are more effective than the ones they produce nowadays, and that's why I am taking my time to know the right product to go with through other people's experience.
Two people already recommended the Kenwood and Rhosoon blenders for me, and I wouldn't mind getting other recommendations or reviews so I can compare. Spending #70,000 for a blender and not getting what I want wouldn't be fair, lol.
