2️⃣ What is the best about Hive?

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Reflecting on this question suddenly I feel so ancient on Hive :-). 7.5 years, oh my god, I have never been in any one job also for this long. My personality is such that I get bored very fast and I need change on regular basis, and with that kind of personality me doing this thing now for 7.5 years, I need to pat myself. So one will say that because it pays I am stuck here, but then a lot of jobs pay so why could I not do that for a longer duration and why this one. And the simple answer to it is, that yes it pays me and I enjoy writing. Majority of the times I am doing it with fun, but then to be honest, there are some few days I am doing it with an effort to not slip on the discipline that I have build up. I know myself, that the day I start lacking this discipline I will give up completely.

How did I hear about Hive?

All thanx to my hubby. He has the habit of listening to these crypto YouTube videos. In one such video, he learned about Hive. In those days we had recently shifted to Oman and I was jobless, I had ample of time at hand not knowing what to do with it. At first when he told me, I had no interest in it, I thought it was just some another silly marketing thing, like all those chain marketing, so I ignored. He kept pushing me that I should take a look at it, because it is something of my interest, he had already done some research by then. Finally I made the effort to look at it. I saw there were positive reactions from people but again I was thinking to myself what if this is all a trap.

Finally I started writing some blogs, I always had interest in writing and in those days I used to write some blogs on one of the site called Speaking Tree, there was no earning there, but it was fun because there were lot of interactions. On Hive, there were very few Indians, and that's what again made me skeptical, I would think was all of this real, were there really faces to these names. But I made some effort to continue and wrote once a week. I was not getting any visibility and that was frustrating me, so I started randomly writing to people who had big earnings to support me, and one of them blasted me for spamming. I realized in that moment, that it was real...haha.

Still not much of interest was developed, because forget the earnings, there were no interactions also and on Speaking Tree I had no earnings but there was good level of communication happening. Then some good Hive souls came in to my life and they gave me guidance on how to proceed. I started following them, taking their advice regularly and I saw little progress. With time it was building up, I started getting some regular supporters, and one of them was huge, which kind of boosted me to be start writing regularly and then it became kind of an addiction.

By the way, the question was; how did I hear about Hive, but I have written much more to it...hehe. @saffisara, you can relate with me because you have been a part of my journey from the beginning.

The best part about Hive is, it gives me freedom. Financial freedom as well as freedom to work on my own terms and time. I am not supposed to report to any boss if I have done my work or not, it is at my convenience that I can do things.

This is one good part of it, the other is; meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world, getting to know different types of culture, everyday learning something new, getting involved in communities with like minded people. Though in the last 1.5 years my interactions have reduced a lot due to my own hectic schedule of other things that have come up in life. Still, I do spend a considerable time here. I may not be responding every time, but I do read quite a lot of blogs. It's a fun place to work with full freedom.

I have lots to write about my Hive journey, so many people to thank, because of who I am successful here. I am not writing any names here today, because if I miss out on any one it would be not fair. A lot of people with who I started are not there now but still I value them because they have made a difference to me.

I am always very grateful to the Universe for bringing the Hive opportunity to me.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Your reflection on your journey with Hive is truly inspiring. The way you navigated skepticism, discovered your passion for writing, and built a disciplined routine over 7.5 years is remarkable. You’ve not only found a way to express yourself creatively but have also experienced personal growth, financial freedom, and a sense of global connection—all of which highlight how impactful and enriching this platform has been for you.

Your story about how your husband encouraged you to explore Hive is such a sweet detail—it’s amazing how one nudge in the right direction can lead to a life-changing path. And those initial struggles, from skepticism to spamming mistakes, only add to the authenticity of your journey. It takes perseverance and adaptability to overcome challenges and thrive as you have.

It’s also heartwarming to hear about the community of “Hive souls” who supported and guided you. Your appreciation for the freedom to work on your own terms and the joy you find in connecting with diverse cultures, ideas, and people truly captures the essence of what Hive has brought to your life.

Your gratitude and humility shine through in your words, @nainaztengra. And it’s clear that you’ve put immense effort and heart into making this experience your own. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful reflection—it’s a beautiful reminder of the power of creativity, perseverance, and community. Here's to your continued journey and success on Hive! 🌟

For me I did not know that Social media blockchain exist until last December my friend introduced me to hive and she told me that you have to write an article about your daily lives, your travel and will earn. So I've got intrigued and curious so I am now on HIve for 3.5 months. Thankful to be here and I am enjoying even though my earnings are a little bit low.

I also thought it wasn't real at first, couldn't understand how users were writing blogs and earning from it. Funnily enough, I subconsciously thought these rewards shown on posts are just points with no real value. Things really change for me when I start reading more posts on this blockchain to really understand how the ecosystem works.

!LOL for some unexplainable feeling I ignore my Hive Anniversary notices. I'm in the same 7-ish year milestone. My own Denial? Maybe. I already feel old without the reminder.
