🌺My warm greetings to the lovely lady and esteemed judge of the week, @marivic10!
Wishing you a week filled with grace, strength, and beautiful moments —just like a hibiscus in full bloom 🌺
I especially relate with prompt number one:
Though I do not have a personal garden of my own yet—as I still live in a rented apartment with my family—my love for plants remain very strong. However, I usually visit an elderly friend of mine to help him out with some difficult chores, clean up the environment for him, and luckily for me, he owns an amazing and beautiful garden. So oftentimes I assist in tending to his plants and other garden chores. It really brings me joy and a sense of calm to be surrounded by nature, even if it's not my own space.
Of all the plants in his garden, I'm especially drawn to the hibiscus. Its bold, delicate blooms draws my attention every time I visit his garden.
I care for hibiscus plants and other plants with simple yet consistent dedication, namely:
- I water them early in the morning.
- I ensure the soil stays moist but never soaked.
- I prune away faded blooms and leaves to encourage fresh ones.
- I occasionally apply organic compost for nutrients.
- I also watch for pest like aphids and their kinds.
Whenever I make myself available to care for this beautiful plants, it often draws me closer to nature; I actually feel connected to something peaceful and grounded.
If I ever have the chance to own an apartment or house of my own, one of my greatest joys would be decorating the entire environment with varieties of plants and flowers—especially hibiscus.
However, until then, I will continue to nurture my love for gardens by assisting my elderly friend in caring for his amazing garden, hoping to one day plant my own.
This is my response to the @ladiesofhive community LOH-contest #244.
