The gift of time is so precious and it is priceless. I am more than willing to give my time to the person who needs comfort. I am willing to listen to something that bothers them. It can be in person or virtual. I have a friend since high school, she's the only child in her family. When her parents worked in Japan, her grandma became her guardian and she live with her cousins. We became close since then.

She has a boyfriend so she just call me when she wants to share about her work in Japan regarding her toxic workmates most of the time. I understand the feeling of venting out so I am just actively listening to whatever she wants to tell me. She is like my elder sister as I am the eldest so she is like elder sister figure to me. We can talk about different topics, various issues not only in the Philippines or Japan but also in any part of the world. We took the same program in college, International Studies actually I was influenced by her to enroll it. She was one of the reason why I shifted to this course from Social Service program on which I majored in Care for Older Persons.
The gift of time is what I can offer to someone who needs active listener.
Photo is mine.
