Season Greetings Hivers 🙂
When I was a child Christmas time is the most special time of the year, as kids we always look forward as to what gifts could we receive from our dear parents. There was always a feeling of excitement that can be seen in the innocent faces of my younger siblings, those are happy moments of our lives to receive specially gift wrapped items with love.
As a child we had a wish list: apparel, gadget or toys were among those. Opening the gifts when the clock strikes at 12am midnight on the date marked red on December of the Gregorian calendar was one the highlights of the year-end celebration.
When we open our gifts it was usually accompanied with noises of fire crackers and fireworks outside, it was so fun and we enjoyed those moments together.
My brothers usually receive toys for boys like robot, race track or toy cars. My sisters and I usually receive a dress, gadget, stuffed toys or doll. Those are common for a typical Filipino family to give wrapped gift items to their children during Christmas. After unboxing the gifts we watch fireworks outside and have some snacks, sometimes lit sparkling sticks.
I am grateful for those times of laughter and joys, those childhood memories are cherished.
