Hello beautiful ladies of Hive, for this week contest #207, this is my entry. My kitchen story: a meal that went bad.
Cooking experiences sometimes can be fun and again a disaster that we wish never to step foot in the kitchen again. On several occasions, not ones not twice I have fallen victim of a bad kitchen experience but that doesn't stop me from entering mummy's kitchen to prepare meals. 😶
One of the major problem I encountered with cooking right from my early beginning as a chef was adding the moderate amount of salt in food and it seems like..... Although there is a whole lot of improvement from then to now, on some occasions I do have issues with salt and most of the times when my mom is around while cooking I usually ask her to taste the food to confirm first.
I will say this bad experience is entirely not my fault but I take blame for it. I was just alone in the house and was very hungry so I decided to cook half measure of rice so I can eat and keep the rest for my brothers when they come back. I know with my years of cooking am supposed to know the quantity of salt to put in the meal but that period I was so sick and my eyes were turning me but the hunger kept pushing me to go prepare something to eat. I went to the kitchen forcefully with my head spinning that I didn't know when I added excess salt to the food. After preparing the meal I manage to take few spoons but forgot to throw the rest in the bin and finally my brother's came back home feeling sorry for me but still went ahead to call me minister in charge of Dangote's salt factory the name they usually called me back then as a young chef. 🤣😰
