RE: Ladies of Hive Community Contest #240 || Nothing like a family dinner! (ENG/SPN)

in Ladies of Hive6 days ago

I would love to be bilingual or maybe even trilingual or more. Languages that would benefit me? Spanish, Hungarian and Russian and Ukrainian. My daughter in law is Hungarian, and whereas she speaks English, her mother doesn't. I would love to spend time with her mom. As for the other three; at work, I encounter all of them-a lot! It would help to better serve my patients!

Dinner sounds like a lovely family affair!

Thanks for sharing; I am sure you will do well as you learn. Take care and have a lovely day!🤗💜🌹 !LADY

Hello my friend! You're always so attentive. Thank you for reading my post and rating it. Learning another language is related to each person's interests and needs; it can also be a matter of personal choice or a desire to improve oneself in that regard. I understand that speaking Hungarian, Russian, and Ukrainian is somewhat complicated since the language, the pronunciation, the emphasis, every detail is different from what we normally use with English or Spanish, for example. I remember an anecdote some time ago when a woman I met only spoke her native language, Italian. Despite the fact that her language, like Spanish, is derived from Latin, we thought we'd understand each other fairly well. However, when she heard me pronounce the first few words, she became extremely uncomfortable, to the point of suffering from stage fright and practically running away from embarrassment. It was kind of funny! See you soon @elizabethbit

I tend to understand more than I can say or converse back to anyone. It's interesting to me how I can sometimes do that without speaking the language. Time to do it, is where I fall short. I need 48 hours in a day, but I suspect it would get filled up as well. Take care my friend and enjoy your Friday! Hugs! 🤗💜🌹 !LADY
