According to my post-retirement financial model, I could almost afford an overseas trip every other year. I'd like my Hive sisters or brothers to plan my 3-day visit to your hometown or city. What would we do and where would we go for me to experience your culture?
Hello Sagacious #ladiesofhives, this post resonates with me because I am from the Eastern part of my country, and we are very proud of our culture.
My hometown is the heart of Igbo tradition in the east. Planning a 3-day visit of @kerrislravenhill to experience my culture will be an itinerary of culture, food, hospitality, and connection.

The first day will include a light welcome and a folk storytelling session on the history of my hometown. This is designed to help you relax after your previous journey and unwind while listening to the folktales. The folktale will have a blend of light music accompanied by traditional drummers, gong, and some remarkable ancient and artistic musical instruments.
While relaxing and unwinding, you will be served our popular jollof rice made with smoked fish for launch. I shall also add a natural coconut drink freshly plucked from the tree and opened to be sipped directly with a straw. In the evening, I will serve you with our traditional white soup (Ofe Nsala) with pounded yam and fresh fish for dinner to prepare your stomach for the core traditional soups. I will allow you to retire to bed to prepare you for the journey ahead.

On the second day, we hit the road to Agulu Lake to explore its beauty and the history of sacred natural habitats. There, you will be entertained with folk tales of sacred Crocodiles and engage in sightseeing and boat riding. I shall serve you with light snacks for the launch.

Thereafter, we proceed to Eke Awka Market, the busiest market in my hometown, where you will be exposed to some artifacts and handicrafts made by our women. You will be allowed to pick some art collections of your choice. From there, we move on to the Namdi Azikiwe University Botanical Garden. There, you will explore some beautiful species of flowers, having observed that you love flowers from your posts.
Afterwards, I will serve you our traditional Nkwobi (isi ewu) and palm wine, as dinner before you retire to bed.
Finally, the third day came early, dressing you in our traditional attire, for the final day with us. Our first port of call will be a visit to skilled blacksmith workshops, where you will find locally made gold ornaments and artifacts in different designs. You shall be allowed to pick some collections of your choice. Thereafter, I will serve you an African salad prepared by me for the launch.

From there, we move to the Alex Ekwueme Square for a cultural open dance heralding your departure. A mixture of masquerades will feature on this dance. Next, to the village square to exchange pleasantries and blessings from some palace elders. But before saying bye, we will briefly stop at Awka Museum of Art and Culture for sightseeing. Butterleaf soup and Semo (Ofe Onughu) will be served for the launch.

There will be a brief cultural dance heralding a final exit to the airport for our sagacious LOH farewell.
At the end of the visit, you have not only experienced our culture but also have a story of cultural connection and memories of my hometown that will last a lifetime.
