Being outspoken is my thing and personality but there are some aspect about my life that this trait of being outspoken do not extend to. I find it hard to activate the button and even if I'll end up activating it, then it means I'm at the edge of the situation.
I'm used to being independent, doing things on my own and this has been me right from a very tender age. Even when I was supposed to be financially dependent on my parent, I still try as much as possible to save from the little I get so that I don't ask for every little thing I need at home from my parents. I think the whole issue started from there cos I wouldn't refer to it as a problem.
I find it difficult seeking financial help from someone mostly when I'm not even sure if the person has it. I feel bad knowingpob that I just bothered someone who's privately solving their own issues and I had to make them disclose what they're privately going through because they don't want me to feel they do not want to help me OR even ask someone who would only make my issue a topic for gossip.
It is not because I feel proud to disclose my problems or to ask for help. Infact I end up asking if I see that there is no way I would be able to solve the problem when I'm supposed to but the timing of asking might only be the difference (when I should have asked and when I eventually asked). That helps me to finally share the problems I have and to seek for help and also, when I know that I am asking from my close circle of people whom I trust enough to share my burdens and problems with.
Seeking financial assistance is a bit hard for me and I'd rather see that I use up all my alternative lifelines before thinking of asking for help.
