October is here and another Hive Power-Up day is upon us!
What is Hive Power-Up Day? Let's get a brief intro out of the way for any of you who may be unfamiliar with the day.
Hive-Power Up Day (HPID) is when we all power-up some hive. Pretty simple, eh? Powering up has many benefits, such as increasing your vote and your stake in this platform. Increasing your vote has a lot of benefits, among which are you can reward people more and you can make more in curation. We can of course power up on any day of the month; HPUD is just here for an added social push.
Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so it started about 10 minutes ago as of this posting. This is my favorite time zone conversion site, by the way, if you want to figure out things without being too confused.
Let's quickly get this out of the way. Today I powered-up 200.
I think 200 has been my norm for most of the year. But I also continue to power up 20-100 every single day, so my monthly totals have been higher. Not including the HPUD last month, today and all of last month I increased my HP by 1977.780. With today's powerup, I am at 35,398.833. Pretty cool! I should have bought more this past month so I could have reached an even 2k. Maybe this month! I see as of now, HIVE is back down to 20 cents, so it remains cheap and I will continue to buy!
Anyway, today being Three Tunes Tuesday I thought I would pick out a three song soundtrack to this Hive Power-Up Day! We will cover these quickly.
- Pitbull - I Believe That We Will Win
- Foreigner - I'm Gonna Win
- Joe Esposito - You're the Best - C'mon, who doesn't love this song?
Honorable mentions might go to the regulars in this category that everyone knows and loves. Rocky - Gonna Fly Now, Queen - We Are the Champions. Great songs, but totally overplayed, but great songs.
Anyway, that is my quick #ttt list to go with this HPUD. Happy HPUD, everyone!!
