Greetings, friends!
Half of February has already been left behind.
I walk my dog every Saturday and Sunday morning. I was planning to walk to the river today along a snowmobile-lined road, but Mother Nature has made her adjustments to my plans. It started snowing yesterday. He was fluffy and soft, but I decided to change my route and walk my dog through the woods along the ski path because there were no skiers on it. I think the snow also scared everyone who wanted to ski. During the day, I did not see a single skier walking towards the ski path. Skiers usually pass by my house.
My dog won't go for a walk next Saturday. I'm going to Moscow on Wednesday to visit my daughter, grandson, and son-in-law. My wife stopped walking the dog because she doesn't have the strength to control it. Yes, our dog is big, strong, and much loves to run. She is choleric by nature. In winter, we only walk the dog on a dog-leash so that it doesn't scare passersby. In the summer, we let the dog go free-range in the forest.
Yes, my landscape will be white for at least another month and a half. February has become colder even than January in recent years. From now on, the weather forecast shows frosts of more than -20 degrees next week. Of course, this year the winter is warmer than usual, there is not even snow west of Kostroma. But it's like we're living behind an ice wall from Game of Thrones. As people joke with us, winter happens for 9 months and sometimes instead of summer.
But we always hope that spring will come earlier than usual.
