Es un verdadero placer escribir por aquí, es mi primera vez en la comunidad y lo hago movida por unirme a la Iniciativa "Cómo se organiza tu ciudad para apoyar la campaña contra el Cáncer de Mama". Como cada 19 de octubre, se les rinde homenaje a la vida de mujeres y hombres que han vencido esta enfermedad, pero que más allá de una celebración es un recordatorio de que "la clave es la prevención".
Este mes, nuestra querida Isla de Margarita ha estado sumergida en un montón de actividades como caminatas, bailoterapias , meditaciones grupales, conversatorios, descuentos en mamografías, bazares y hasta un Desfile de moda, realizado justo el mismo día 19, en la Feria del Centro Comercial "Parque Costazul, para homenajear y admirar a un grupo de mujeres sobrevivientes. A estas mujeres las maquillaron, las peinaron y las hicieron sentir como unas "Reinas", lucieron hermosas creaciones intervenidas por artistas plásticos como arte.fausto y PineappleArt Mgta. Ellas no solo, desfilaron con naturalidad , sino que le regalaron parte de sus historia, llenas de valentía, de amor y sobretodo de esperanza a todos los presentes.
Además de todo el espectáculo, este evento fue una oportunidad para apoyar a los "Emprendedores" de la isla, quienes montaron sus stands a un lado de la Feria.Tenían de todo un poco: desde cositas para comer, plantas, lazos para niñas, bisutería y ropa.
Esta actividad empezó a las tres de la tarde y se extendió más allá de las siete de la noche. Cuando llegué, tipo 5 de la tarde, había varias tarimas, grandes pantallas y mucho color rosa. Por supuesto, para asistir, también me vestí de este color. Aproveché para posar al lado de un lazo rosa gigante en una mini-tarima y de tomar fotos de esta actividad para compartir con ustedes.
Todas las sillas estaban llenas, se veía gente de todo tipo: público en general, muchos amigos y familiares que fueron a dar apoyo a las modelos. Y es que en estos tiempos, se agradece la alegría que se vive en estas actividades, que no solo nos hacen pasar un buen rato, sino que nos recuerdan la importancia de ser más empáticos y solidarios con la sociedad.
Y hablando de solidaridad, ésta se hizo notar en la cantidad de patrocinadores que se sumaron a la causa, donando productos o servicios de sus marcas y cuyos nombres podíamos leer en las pantallas, así como a rotaractperladelcaribe, una fundación de jóvenes, quienes bajo el hermoso lema "Juntos por una vida color de Rosa" fueron los encargados de la organización del evento.
Y ésta fue mi participación en esta Iniciativa. Me gustó formar parte de ella y que conocieran como se vivió esta actividad en la Isla de Margarita-Venezuela. Gracias por leerme y saben que sus comentarios siempre son bienvenidos. Un abrazo y Bendiciones infinitas 🫶

It is a real pleasure to write here. This is my first time in the community, and I am motivated to join the initiative “How does your city organize itself to support the campaign against breast cancer?” As every October 19, we pay tribute to the lives of women and men who have overcome this disease, but beyond a celebration, it is a reminder that “Prevention is key.”
This month, our beloved Margarita Island has been immersed in a host of activities such as walks, dance therapy, group meditations, discussions, discounts on mammograms, bazaars, and even a fashion show, held on the 19th itself, at the Parque Costazul Shopping Center Fair, to honor and admire a group of women survivors. These women were given makeup and hairstyles and made to feel like “queens.” They wore beautiful creations designed by artists such as arte.fausto and PineappleArt Mgta. Not only did they walk the runway with naturalness, but they also shared part of their stories, full of courage, love, and above all, hope, with everyone present.
In addition to all the spectacle, this event was an opportunity to support the island's "Entrepreneurs", who set up their stands next to the fair. They had a little bit of everything: from snacks to plants, ribbons for girls, jewelry, and clothing.
This activity began at 3:00 p.m. and lasted until after 7:00 p.m. When I arrived around 5:00 p.m., there were several stages, large screens, and lots of pink. Of course, I also dressed in pink to attend. I took the opportunity to pose next to a giant pink bow on a mini-stage and take photos of this activity to share with you.
All the seats were filled, and there were all kinds of people in attendance: the general public, many friends and family members who came to support the models. In these times, we appreciate the joy that these activities bring, which not only allow us to have a good time, but also remind us of the importance of being more empathetic and supportive of society.
And speaking of solidarity, this was evident in the number of sponsors who joined the cause, donating products or services from their brands, whose names we could read on the screens, as well as rotaractperladelcaribe, a youth foundation, who, under the beautiful slogan “Together for a life the color of pink” were in charge of organizing the event.
