For example, at least in the town where I grew up most of my life, you could expect anything. I remember that, on both sides of the main avenue, right in the historic center, they put some benches that looked like polished marble, although it was obviously just well-worked cement. Next to each bench they placed a small street lamp that illuminated the place. They were beautiful and made a distant town, almost dead of boredom, a less gray place. However, that beauty lasted as long as a candy at the door of a school. Out of pure desire to damage social property, in just a few days they had already vandalized what had been built with so much effort. Being beautiful did not save those banks from being destroyed and disrespected.
2nd. Is taking care of public spaces something more related to your values and culture?
A/ Yes, I believe that the culture (and here I am not talking about studies but about values) that each person possesses plays a fundamental role in their behavior in society. And taking care of what belongs to everyone, whether establishments or exteriors, speaks about our ability to know how to live together in society.
3rd. What do you think would help people take better care of public spaces?
As I point out in my answer to the previous question, the way an individual behaves in society will depend on the general culture they possess, their values and their common sense. Perhaps there is a course, subject or speech that can help destructive people learn to take care of public spaces. Or at least it's nice to believe that. Believe that one day we will know how to insert ourselves into society without hurting it, without harming it, without vandalizing it.

R/ La lógica de mucho les hace pensar que sí, que entre más hermoso un lugar, más merecedor es de ser cuidado y respetado. Pero no siempre es así. Por ejemplo, al menos en el pueblo donde me crié la mayor parte de mi vida, uno podía esperar cualquier cosa. Recuerdo que, a ambos lados de la avenida principal, justo en el casco histórico, pusieron unos bancos que parecían de mármol pulido, aunque obviamente solo era cemento bien trabajado. Al lado de cada banco ubicaron una farola pequeña que iluminaba el lugar. Eran hermosos y hacían de un pueblo lejano, casi muerto de hastío, un lugar menos gris. Sin embargo, aquella belleza duró lo mismo que un dulce en la puerta de un colegio. Por puro deseo de dañar la propiedad social, en apenas unos días ya habían vandalizado lo que con tanto esfuerzo se había construido. R/ Sí, creo que la cultura (y aquí no hablo de estudios sino de valores) que posea cada persona juega un papel fundamental en su comportamiento en la sociedad. Y cuidar lo que es de todos, ya sea establecimientos o exteriores, habla sobre nuestra capacidad de saber convivir en sociedad.
3ra. ¿Qué crees que ayudaría a que la gente cuide más los espacios públicos?
Como señalo en mi respuesta a la interrogante anterior, la manera de comportarse el individuo en sociedad dependerá de la cultura general que posea, de sus valores y su sentido común. Quizás exista un curso, asignatura o discurso que pueda lograr que las personas destructivas aprendan a cuidar los espacios públicos. O al menos es bonito creer eso. Creer que algún día sabremos insertarnos en la sociedad sin lastimarla, sin dañarla, sin vandalizarla.
