When we speak of "Technology" what exactly are we referring to? My limited interpretation of technology is the orderly invention of procedures, activities, and systems in order to further man's knowledge of his environment and control those procedures, activities, and systems to further man's advancement to make our lives better in the world in which we live.

When I think of the advancements, I think of the invention of the airplane to take limited control and maneuver in a space that wasn't previously accessible to man.

Technology has truly transformed how society interacts with one another, communicate, manage our health, and how we develop tools, knowledge, and processes to advance our lives in a positive manner.

Technology truly has advanced to the stage of being "smart". From Smart televisions to timepieces to home electronics, the average consumer has been led toward the path to depend upon these automated innovations to think, plan, and execute for us.

Society has been deluged with theories in the film industry that gives us a glimpse, whether positive or negative, of the effects of technological advances.

Currently, we have at our disposal Smart Technology. From industrial to personal home innovations that provide convenience, we're offered the opportunity to embrace systems that attempt to "think for us". Given a set of examples, i.e. our previous patterns of behavior, likes and dislikes, we have the Smart Television.

We also have Smart Watches whose primary function is not giving us the most accurate time possible. Are we truly moving to a universal set of values that goes beyond what society has imagined? Imagine this smart eye watch that sees all and can operate on a set of principles that apply to the space and the vast universe.

The less humans have to worry about learning technical jargon and how to operate sophisticated devices, the more they can focus on important aspects of life.

Since I'm already in the senior citizen sphere, I often wonder what technology will be achieved in the future concerning biomedicine. Instead of currently undergoing an operation to replace my arthritic knees, I can just order myself a robot to handle my daily chores. I will definitely require a chauffeur in the coming years.

For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to focus on a specific Smart Technology item: the watch, so developed elements around it. Utilizing Canva, my design program, to complete the design, I started with a blank, white canvas. Adding layers of elements allowed me to take advantage of the tools available in the program to blend the various elements. Previously, I retrieved from two stable diffusion programs, StarryAI and Night Cafe, a gray clock and fantasy eye, respectively.
