The moment I lay eyes on an image that includes a person, I look into that individual's eyes. Often the look pulls me in the direction I want to take the project's design.
What are the person's thoughts is the first item that draws my attention This dictates what elements I want to to surround the human with. Usually, the person is a female just because they're interesting subjects in art.
For my current mixed media art project, I concentrated on the female's eyes and her unusual hair that appears twisted in puffs of cream with an orange tinge. Instantly, I knew she was a free spirit desiring to roam outdoors. Her eyes are searching for clarity is the reason she is glancing upward. A recent event has left her disheveled and unsure of her next move. So I chose natural, calming elements to surround and reassure her.
Below are my procedures for producing the theme and design.
I wanted the elements I included to closely match the female's hair and personality I assigned her. The scene didn't have to be crowded. One of the images was a lovely abstract circle pattern. I chose this element because of the female's eyes: wild and uncertain. Of course, I needed flowers, water, and birds. The brown water landscape provided the perfect element to place the female in.
One of the images was a pure fractal I designed in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X titled "Bird's Nest".

I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images taking advantage of the tools that includes the ability to resize images, remove backgrounds from images, separate different parts of an image to use freely, colorize, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.
