A major breakthrough has just been made, a group or researchers at

Rice University in the United States have made a major breakthrough and a step forward in there fight against climate change.

​ In the quest to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air,they just found a better and suitable way to do that.

Incase you are unfamiliar with this word, Carbon dioxide is one of the gases that are making the earth to feel more hot.

For sometime, scientist have been looking for a way to capture CO2 and prevent it from escaping to the atmosphere.

But there’s been one big problem ,the systems usually get blocked over time because salt builds up in them. This makes them stop working.

But guess what? The team at Rice University discovered a new way to solve this problem. Instead of using water-based solutions like many older systems, they used something called acid vapor. This simple change made a huge difference. Their system was able to run for over 4,500 hours (which is almost 6 months) without any failure or breakdown. That’s a big deal because it means the system can work continuously and more reliably,it is a really a relief.

what can we say about this breakthrough, it is very simple, we are now one step closer to building better machines that can help clean the air and reduce the amount of CO2 causing climate change.

If this discovery is used on a larger scale, it could help protect the environment, reduce global warming, and create a cleaner future.

This is once again proofs that science is not just about formulas and big words, but actually solving problems faced by human beings in real world.
