Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My current goal is 60k Hive.
Last week I made 148.84, bringing me to 42255.73 total Hive Power. That’s 70.4% of my goal!
Math time. 60k - 42255.73 gives us 17744.27. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 51.3 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point.
Not much change from last week. What did change is that I started a power down and received my first payment. Unfortunately the price of HIVE also dove down, so… yeah. I missed the pump. Oh well. I think what I’ll do is that I’ll keep this first payment liquid just in case another pump hits, but then I will power it all up the day before the second payment is due. For that reason, I am including that first power-down payment in my total above (the 42255.73, even though technically I no longer have that).
By keeping my account in a constant power-down like this, I will miss things like being eligible for Hive Power-Up Day and Month, so that’s kind of a bummer, but it does keep my options open for taking advantage of any pumps that come. Then again, with the troubles Upbit is having, we might not get any more pumps for 6 months or so (which seems to be the length of the penality levied on them), but maybe we’ll see more steady gains from other exchanges.
Second Layer Tokens
Token | Last week total | Goal | Needed | Note |
---|---|---|---|---|
BRO | 10.643 | 1000 | 321.4105 | 67.9% of the way there! |
I am still just focusing on BRO so far this year. I have been a part of the BRO ecosystem for the past few years, so I am considering biting the bullet and finally putting the money in to achieve this goal. The problem with BRO (and with Hive Engine tokens in general) is that they have almost no liquidity, so getting your money out again is not a quick process. On the other hand, BRO has held its price since the last bull market and for the entire bear market, making it a rare token in this Hive ecosystem where 99% of tokens quickly go to 0, showing that it is well managed.
Thinking…thinking…
Silver
The silver chart for last week:
We ended last week above $30. That was pretty good! I wonder how this week will go. Many people are calling for both the crypto and stock markets to go down after the events of the 20th. If so, does that also bring precious metals down? We shall see, eh?
Here is a good looking coin that I came across today:
Wow, is that cool looking or what? This is a 2025 Niue 1 oz Silver Czech Lion BU. After posting my silver post on dimes a few days ago I got it in my head that I want to order a bunch of Mercury dimes. I’m still looking around to see where I can order those from and get a good shipping rate. But if possible, I want to add this coin to the mix as well!
Giveaway
That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @bozz @day1001 @doombot75 @ecoinstats @go-kyo @heruvim1978 @kerrislravenhill @lupega @moeknows @oadissin @pardinus @slothlydoesit @solominer @thebighigg @trautenberk @vaynard86 @zakludick.
And the winners are…
@moeknows @pardinus @bozz @slothlydoesit [x2] @vaynard86 [x2]!
Congratulations, everyone!
And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let’s see how this coming one goes!
