Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My current goal is 60k Hive.
Last week I made 189.964, bringing me to 49132.18 total Hive Power. That’s 81.9% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 49132.18 gives us 10867.82. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 46.4 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point.
Yeah, so I didn’t power up any outside money this week, just going off organic growth, and we can see where that got me: one of my lowest weeks in a while. The previous week I had made progress, getting that number down to 45.9, but now it’s jumped back up.
Oh well. BTC is having a bit of a ride lately. It seems to be stalling out now though, so this might be the place to take a little profit from that pile. If I do so, would it be smart to move that into Hive? Hmm… If nothing else, that would help me reach my goal faster.
Second Layer Tokens
I continue to not really have any overall goals here. I did buy a little more PIMP last week. I was reminded to look at EDSI, which is backed by 1 Hive each and so is always worth buying if you see someone selling for lower than 1.
But that’s about it. Nothing major.
Silver
The silver chart for last week:

Here is a great coin that I came across today:

Now, that phrase “Meet thy Maker”… I have read the book multiple times and can’t recall ever seeing that phrase. Obviously I know the English phrase, but does it ever show up in the book…? I don’t think so. Just to make sure, I just searched the book on my Kindle and the phrase doesn’t appear anywhere in the first two books. It says “Dune 2” on the coin, so this could be from the second movie, which I haven’t seen. (Honestly, I love the book so much, I just don’t want to be disappointed by the movies. The LOtR movies disappointed me enough.)
But with the sandworm hooks there, it’s obvious what “Maker” the phrase is referring to. The Freemen called the sandworms “Makers”, as they make the spice which gives life. The Freemen worship the sandworms as gods, making a nice double-meaning to “Maker” in this phrase. In addition, when Paul is undergoing the ritual of riding a Sandworm for the first time, he faces death if he gets it wrong, which again plays nicely into the double-meaning of this phrase.
Anyway — awesome coin!
