I guess the fact that she accused me of what I didn't do and would never do in my life just made it very painful then.

I think this is the hardest thing to swallow... false accusations - attacks on one's integrity. The hurt runs deep. It's like working through grief, especially if the accusation comes from someone you know, like, or respect. At least this woman meant nothing to you but that must have been very difficult when she made a public spectacle of it all. I'm sorry you had to experience that.
