Food is any substance consumed by living organisms in order to sustain life, it's one of the basic need of life needed for survival. Sometimes food can serve as a solution to prevent calamity or even helps one to receive answers to long awaiting prayer.
I've heard from many people how what they give out to others save them from some difficult situations and help them unlock answers to hidden secrets or save them from future calamity. So if I were to save humanity with food in case of aliens invasion, I would prepare Sweet Potato Porridge.
I've been a lover of anything prepared with or made from sweet potatoes ever since childhood, so offering the aliens this amazing staple food with its natural sweet flavor would be a nice gesture. I believe porridge is a universal food no matter what's used in preparing it so making use of sweet potato for my porridge won't be a bad idea because the sweetness alone will have captivated them.
Sweet potatoes have lots of nutritional benefits in which one of them is high fiber content which helps to prevent constipation. This means, eating sweet potatoes porridge by the visitors will help them have good digestion. I don't want a situation where the visitors will eat my food and have constipation, so offering them the food will be a nice idea and I have no doubt in my mind that the aliens will love it.
Sweet potato porridge is very simple and easy to cook; and it doesn't take time when preparing it at all. The only thing I need to be fast about is when I'm peeling the potatoes. I will try my best to buy big side potatoes so that the peeling won't take my time and the visitor won't be frustrated that my cooking takes time. I don't want a situation whereby the visitor will be waiting aimlessly before the food is done, so preparing sweet potato porridge will help me save time.
Generally, porridge is one of the foods that can be prepared and served with varieties of things. When preparing my special sweet potato delicacy I will add vegetable to it, I'm a lover scent leaf so I will surely add little of it to the porridge.
I will also add some spices and diced onions to it, I'm not a fan of cray fish so I'm not going to add it because the smell alone usually choke me. I know the aroma alone when I've put all ingredients in the food, would have filled up the whole house and everyone including the visitors will be wondering what's going on and I know they will surely be eager to taste the food.
Like I've earlier said, sweet potato porridge can be served with varieties of things. It can go with fish (anyhow the fish is been prepared), any type of meat whether assorted or not, even with pepper ponmo (cow skin).
All these varieties will definitely add to the sweetness of the delicacy that I will serve the visitor and I'm confident that serving the aliens this special food will soften their mind and would get them to spare us from any wrath.
